  8. I always buy toyo t1rs aswell. Not really tried any other performance orientated tyres so can't compare. But there far grippier than yoke s drives I had before so I was very impressed in the dry. Not so much in the wet. But ok. Love them so much I have 4 spares in the shed as I heard there being discontinued.

  10. Fitted the BC's here's pics of them as the come out the back before i set them up to how i wanted them. passenger rear was almost tucking rim on 195 55 15 tyre. so spent a morning sorting out so it sat level all round. didn't bother too much on height as my new wheels arrived so its got to be adjusted again the next weekend. also picked up a blink panel mirror to see all them blind spots preview of the wheels! Genuine OZ Racing Wheels, Magnesium Rally Wheels 15 x 7.5J very light and strong. plus something abit different for a civic. bit of a gamble as had no idea what these where going to look like

  12. Thanks Gerry, appreciate the nice comments. Makes it all worth while! I've restored a few Mark 3 cortinas (one of my all time fav cars!) just love the old classics. Always fancied a 1600E, very sweet cars, and them old dollys could shift!! Mark 3 wise I've had a 2000E (modded with white 8 spoke weller wheels, front spoiler, boot spoiler, rear window louvre, flat pan air filter, sports back back box, oh and CB radio of course! lol) and 2 x GXL's. Hoping that one day Dawns deck will be considered a classic.

  13. lol no wonder I miss Ruby! well, the news is good. Finally got her back on Monday, and she is driving a hella lot better! The gear changes are now sweet, no more crunching! The kangaroo effect however is still present, but massively reduced. It's almost gone, just does it ever so slightly so guess I can live with that. When Jim and me went to pick her up, on the way back I was going up the slip road onto the main A1, and sitting in third. Spotted a gap in the traffic so floored it to pull out, and she spun the wheels up! After driving her for a bit, noticed she feels a lot quicker! Thinking she may have lost a wee bit power because of the coil pack/plugs, and has now got it back? Deffo feels a bit punchier to drive now. Jim drover her too and said the same, feels a lot better to drive. We went through this wee village, and theres a round about at the end of it. Came through at 30mph, then onto the roundabout (Jim driving) and went round in 6th gear 17mph!, And coming off the roundabout, still in 6th, still 17mph, she pulled away with no shudders, no bother at all! Really impressed she could do that, as most diesels would struggle to even do that! Not that I would drive her like that a lot, but is good for overtaking point of view........no need to change down. Just push the throttle down and away she goes. And hats off to Western Honda.................they even gave her a full valet in and out, all hoovered out and tyres dressed etc, so she looked amazing. So, thoughts about getting rid of her are now gone! Fingers crossed thats the last of her faults and she goes on trouble free now. And DD.....................all washed, dried and back in the garage in her blanket now! She's deffo not seeing the salty roads again!

  14. lol I wish! I went and took a deal on the servicing when I bought her, so the next 2 services are already paid for. Think I might put her in early for a service as I feel she needs it tbh. Sometimes seems to drive rough, especially when cold. Have to say having owned the D-series, B-series and now the K series, I'm not a huge fan of the K-series engines. Think they're hyped up more than they deserve, and if I were to choose between B or K, it would be B all the way for me personally. And as for all this fly by wire stuff, it's crap in my opinion. Give me good old cables any day!
