  1. Just thought I'd bump this as I feel the post is relevant. Been using my car for the last couple of days, first time in weeks I've been able to drive it and I felt that on a cold start it would feel sluggish and hesitant, similar to symptoms described in here! Did a bit of research online which I got some possible causes from other Honda forums, mostly people who have B18C4 conversions into other Civic's and somebody said to unplug the lambda/O2 sensor and drive the car from cold, which is what I have just done! Felt so much better! Smooth as you like, EML came on but was expecting that but much better throttle response low down and much better to drive while she warms up ready for some VTEC action! So based on that I believe a new sensor should cure my problem. Hope this helps a few of you who are also suffering the same!

  5. I've done about 100 miles on the new brakes and I am happy to report they feel much better than a few days ago! Still going to bleed them again just to be on the safe side though! Also I've bought a pair of handbrake cables as one side doesn't work at all and the other isn't very strong and with the MOT looming in July I want it to be right, plus I don't like leaving the car in gear! I had noticed these last few days that the car has been jerky, hesitant when cold under part throttle, not quite a misfire but like a lack of fuel. So had a look online and found out that it could be the lambda/O2 sensor and that to find out you simply unplug it and drive the car from cold. So I have just done exactly that and it feels so much better, smooth and no kangaroo impersonations! So I guess I need a new sensor! If you do try this you will get the engine light come up but should disappear once plugged back in.

  6. Not sure if it's the same on the turbo Diesel engines but on the other petrol/gas powered engines I've found the oil sump bolts work themselves lose over time so need tightening up every now and then! Also rocker cover gaskets are common to leak as well, you probably already know about those but just making sure!

  8. Hi guys. I was speaking to Sue through FB, and letting her know there's quite a few from here going to the funeral, so again, shows just how nice a guy Nick was. She was telling me that he passed away very suddenly, just fell out of bed, was sick, and that was it. It happened in front of Sue and the girls, which must have been so shocking for them. Can't even think of what they must have went through. They think it was bleeding from ulcers that caused it I've been trying to help her as I've been in the same place when I lost Dawn, so know what she must be going through. And I told her that we are all here for her and will help in any way we can to get them through this. Know it would have made Nick happy to know we're all here to support his family through the hardest time of their life.
