  1. Oh my days that be hilarious! Will be missed an awful lot. am justifying it in my own mind. Because the rust deep in the chassis was coming back through. So was only a matter of time. shame was absolutely mint to look at.
  2. its done. Power steering hacked up and pulled out. I saved the clutch reservoir from mb. Sliced and diced the bracket a bit. Now the flow and return from rack end up at the reservoir. Hope it works ok. other than that now really achieved much other than making a mess everywhere with power steering fluid. Horrid stuff and stinks too. Shift linkage in now. Using stock shifter instead of short shift. I think I prefer it.
  3. Power steering has done me over I'm fuming and don't know what to do. I couldn't undo line into rack with open spanner was going to slip. so I cut the line to slide a socket over thinking that would grip better. but still it just rounded the nut off instead of turning. now I am in a real pickle. gonna have to convert it to manual
  4. i am mate. Well excited. There is still an awful lot to do tho really. bit scary really. Then body work. Not looking forward to that bill. oh and 4 tyres for me wheels if I ever get them back. And a custom exhaust. Oh my days!
  5. Nearly there. All undersealed now and engine is plumbed in. nearly ready for some fluids. Front suspension going back on tomorow temporarily so can move it about. had to make a couple of brackets up for clutch line. Looks good tho. Still got issue with power steering pump. May cut the line and try using a compression fitting to extend it.
  6. Cheers mate. Could do with a hand. Lots of learning going on here. All nuts and bolts like mechano tho. Back on it tomorow. I need some bushes shame cus going to stop progress briefly while wait for delivery from Poland.try and figure out power steering also .
  7. Wkd mate ill be watching this. Interesting stuff if you get it working
  8. Good stuff mate. That thing s quick to sixty. 8 ish seconds counting in my head. Awesome
  9. Sorry dude. They were under the mb all wet so thaught I'd use em. Think they were only tour over mats for you over mats!
  10. Thanks dude. Even worse mate. The jacks looked bigger in the advert. Have to go up the axle stands in stages with blocks of wood in between.
  11. haha there Paul's mats. ssshhhh don't tell him please!
  12. Very busy day again. Have amended all known issues with engine. Numerous leaks. water pump was leaking. Vtec solenoid. Oil pan. changed the timing belt. first time ive done one. new rear mount. And cleaned everything as best I can. one big problem is power steering. The line would not cone off the rack no way no how. So got engine in and a pump and line that are incompatible.
  13. Yeah what you can't see is that the crane was too tall to reverse back out the garage. So I had to climb in the bay and lift the engine over the front while mate pulled the crane back . my back is suffering.
  14. Cheers guys. Will try get as many pics as can. Workin me balls off tho. Only had time for 2 dolley rolley cigarette breaks today. And no lunch! What the hell!

  19. Looks real nice! You crazy guy vtecin cold! Ouch.. btw if ya order ek coilovers straight fit. Or eg ones fit but ya have to use some washers on bottom fork.
  20. Looks like a good jack. I just bought two new jacks and made mistake they are tiny. be good for jacking up a tamiya, but need several blocks of wood to get a civic off the floor!
  21. Well still keep thinkin I'm mad. Was just happy with my mb6 everything sorted then start pulling it to bits. I just couldn't afford my wife to drive it, and I really didn't want a big car like mb as a second car. so that's why I've done it. Literally the same car just in new shell. Every part has been used and swapped over.
  22. I aint got time Tbh mate. Plus Paul's dodgy old doors dont seal and the interior has gone mouldy. shame but she's going to car heaven at the end of the week.
  23. BUsy old day. d16 will be pulled out first thing tomorow. Everything disconected ready to go.. Partially started the mb6. Driveshafts and shifter, exhaust etc needs to come out but it was raining. Looks a right tip at the minute. Packed everything in there to keep dry
