yeah they look really nice and firm. I've got some brand new oem ones. Will fill the with tiger bond before fitting. Had good results with that before.
-
welder coming first thing Saturday. Just hope I can get the filler neck out without disturbing tank.
-
Wow looking good. Was tempted for those avid mounts meself

^^^^ My guess is leaky boot seal
-
it was solid and I broke through it, will defo weld it. Can see me wheel through the hole and its upsetting the whole looking good as new under there thing I'm going for. ill have it sorted by this time next week.
-
Oh dear... Hate welding, makes me a very sad boy
-
Bet you cant wait? Good luck mate and take your time, do it once good and proper. Cheers mate. I like to do things properLy as best I can.. got everything new that wears out so should be good to go. only thing may be bad is left driveshaft had a very slight click on full lock, think I may get away with regreasing it, if still clicks will have to get new. nice easy swap though ay.

Very excited. Proving to be a nightmare. Braces are in but found a big rust hole in the inner arch where the fuel filler pipe is. Gitted. anyone know if I can just take the pipe out without dropping the tank? Won't be able to weld with that in.

Seriously that bush is so easy to replace if you have a vice. I only done both mine last month.
-
That bush will come out easy if its old. The metal tube will break free then the rubber will come out. to get new ones in I found awkward at first. Until you know how. Bit of grease on bush, using a vice just press new bush in. Push on the metal tube with vice and it'll pop in easy. Whatever you do don't put a socket over and push the rubber. It doesn't work I tries for hours.

Yeah drop links are the same on numerous old Honda's and rovers. Try rimmer bros website. Just click through to find car, bushes and droplinks are real cheap. if you've already got the metal part bet the bushes can be bought go a fiver.

Well done naz. All sorted!

Yeah man, I seen them for sale few times. Looks awesome. Like boot box thing. think its from jap sir2 or something. maybe when shes running ill treat her.

It's not gonna be a daily, and was planning on loosing the full interior. But I've changed my mind now because of the new arches you could see the welding. It's covered now with waxoyl but bit ugly so just loosing the rear seats now.
-
Well found out today house is on market from Wednesday. So engines coming out and mbs going to heaven asap. the eg can be moved by a local garage for pittance so no probollem. She has promised me shell get a place with a garage so its fine. but any way. Today I have stripped the rear interior out and started fitting braces. Waxoiled inside the wheel arches. I want thevside plastics back in the boot so I am having to cut holes to pass the braces through. gonna look cool tho I reckon
-
I'll make sure she gets somewhere with a garage! Otherwise ill just have to rent one near me. Either way it'll be cool.
-
Wouldn't go as far as saying up and running. I just have boxes of bits everywhere. Very soon tho. I'm booking a week off work soon to get the engine swap done. I want to get the bulk of it done as my mum is selling her house in spring and that's where the cars are so need to get it in a state that I can move it when needed. Will worry about cosmetics last

Yes it seemed a hard leak to trace. I had took solenoid off and cleaned all then put back. Thought I'd stopped it but since engine has sat a right puddle had formed under it. So had to purchase. Rip off tho in my opinion!
