  1. That could work and they're very cheap. Will think about it.
  2. That's nice info Jake, sounds good. So it will be K&N then. But anyway if someone knows where I can buy CT engineering filter please give a shout.
  3. Well, see for example this test: http://home.roadrunner.com/~jbplock/ISO5011/SPICER.htm
  4. I don't want to change my air filter anymore, so I'm looking to buy a cleanable one. Any suggestions ? Those I know: CT engineering(Previous known as Comptech). My favourite but can't find it in UK http://www.ct-engineering.com/ProductLineup/AcuraIntegra/AcuraIntegraHighFlowAirIntake/AirFilterHighFlow,stockairbox(9401Integr/tabid/1116/Default.aspx Spoon filter. Too expensive K&N E-2427. I hate K&N but the price is very good - 60 pounds and it may be my only choice.
  5. Yep, that's the thread. Actually the only thing that's not tested are the front ZS120 shocks. Rear springs and shocks are the same on 120 and 180. I've got 120 front springs and they're awesome. So marv, if you decide to go zs120 this topic will be settled for good
  6. There was a thread which I can't find now in which a member of the forum complained that his front end is sitting higher than the rear. He has MB6 and was using ZS180 suspension. (Then he went ITR springs & shocks and was happy). The front drop on his MB6 with ZS180 was exactly the same as mine when I had ZS180 springs. It's not suppose to look like that, If you look at ZS, front and rear drop is equal. Also when I had ZS180 springs at the front I felt that the front springs didn't compress. I very much doubt that MB6 will need so hard springs. At the moment with ZS120 springs, the front end again is a little bit higher than the rear. My opinion is that MB6 with ZS120 suspension will be perfect. So will somebody try them already and prove me wrong/right
  7. I would say the ZS120 suspension would be perfect Nobody on the forum has tried the complete suspension from 120 but I'm sure it will be way better than stock and of course lower.
  8. Excuse me for being a spammer but couldn't resist posting this :D Happy holidays and have fun http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I941i6TWqZs
  9. If you're running ITR LCAs it should fit (the under brace). But with stock LCAs it won't.
  10. The little under brace doesn't fit mate ! You need a brace with different attachment, like this
  11. Very nice deck mate. And the headlights look very cool like that with removed indicator lenses without making them illegal. Nice idea
  12. Reading the thread name and I thought, that hyundai doesn't have a chance. And then I watched this. It is faaast
  13. Depends what amount of power is needed. For B-series a lot of money is needed. To be a worthy upgrade you should be in VTEC often and MPG will be bad. D series even when pushed hard have good mpg.
  14. Plan A: D16Z6/D15B JDM head Adjustable cam gear D16Z6/D15B JDM Distributor with cables Headgasket Intake manifold gasket New coolant, oil and spark plugs chipped OBD1 ECU, P28/P30 Plan B: D16Y8/D16Z6 camshaft and camgear Adjustable cam gear chipped OBD1 ECU, P28/P30 Plan A is better but more expensive.
  15. Mini me means adding real vtec to your engine.Which means putting a vtec head or just changing the camshaft and rocker arm assembly (from D16Y8/D16Z6/D15B JDM). With our Vtec-e camshaft it's difficult to make power. Even D16A6 non-vtec camshaft is better than ours.
  16. My advice is to spend the money for the iridium plugs elsewhere. IMHO your car will work best with OEM spark plugs. There's a good explanation here: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthread.php/ngk-platinum-vs-ngk-iridium-worth-4037-2.html#post281903 I don't know for how much power are you aiming but the best way to find out is drive a D16Y2 engined MB1 and see if it suits you. If it feels slow then go straight away for the turbo or change the engine. (Your stock manifold can easily be modified to be used as a turbo manifold). If it's not that bad you can start modding your engine in NA state. It goes like this: Aftermarket 4-2-1 / 4-1 manifold -> shorter transmission (a hybrid one is the best way to go for a lot of fun) -> 50mm or larger catback -> mini me (expensive thing to do). A better intake will help of course but I would leave this for later when the engine really needs it. As we know the airbox and resoantor are able to feed the B18C4 engine ! Intake manifold is not that bad either. There is a point to change it if you have done the mini me. Then the setup will benefit from a D16Z6 / moded D16A9 / aftermarket intake manifold.
  17. I sold my D16Z6 gearbox to a friend of mine who drives D15Z6 engine in a Civic EK. Now the funny thing is first gear sounds like reverse. You know that whining sound. It sounds so funny like this Other than that there is no problems with the transmission. So I'm just curious why do you think it sounds like this ?
  18. Yes these are the correct ones - H3 55W but I recommend you to buy some proper bulbs like Philips/Osram/PIAA
  19. Well, maybe there are better tires out there, I don't know. That was just his advise.
  20. Should fit easy mate, the hangs are in the right place. Looks like a quality exhaust, I would love to hear how that sounds fitted. Actually it looks kinda long but should be okay, there is room at the back.
  21. I so envy you guys in UK ! I hate snow and winter and particularly cold I currently have one of the cheapest winter tires - Debica Frigo 2 (this will be the last winter I drive them because they're getting old). The shop I bought them advised me to buy taller tires for the winter so I chose this size - 185/65/14 (Original is 185/60/14). I have D15Z8 engine so I don't have LSD. I don't have much experience because I mainly drive on cleared roads and I avoid driving in winter. But anyway I think the drivability in snow isn't bad. In slush though it's terrible but that probably is normal. I have a friend who is a snow lover like you and loves going to the mountains. He has the same car as me - D15Z8 MB3 and he's very pleased with the car behavior in winter. If he wasn't he would have probably changed the car for that reason.. He recommended me Vredestein Snowtrac 3 and said it's an amazing tire. He told me of a trip that he went with his car and everybody was amazed how the car reacted in really deep snow. According to him if he wasn't with Vredestein he wouldn't have got out of the snow. When I see him again I will ask him for any advice for your problem.
  22. Check the switches on the doors, if one of them is broken this could hapen.
  23. They are a straight fit, don't worry. They attach differently to the car but are plug and play.
  24. I have them too http://civic5.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3685-emzvrs-mb3/page-3 I think they look better than VTI-S side skirts. And yes they're easy to find and cheap. The only problem with mine is that they are a little bit shorter and there's a little gap at the end.
