  1. I've been reading lately how to improve my handling further more and came to the conclusion that my front arb (26mm from MB6) is too thick. Anti roll bars increase stiffness and reduce body roll at the expense of grip. Because we are FWD it makes a lot of sense to install a beefier rear arb to let the rear wheels fight the body roll. We don't need a lot of grip there. But we need lots of it on the front wheels and with this thick front arb we are sacraficing it. What are your thoughts on this subject, has anyone tried different front arb sizes ? I maybe talking sh*t here but that's what I learned from the internet, correct me if I'm wrong. I think I'll try installing my stock MB3 one which if I remember correctly is around 18mm. But this will be done when the winter is over. I'm curious if there is a 20/22mm front arb that fits our cars.
  2. Cold weather and short journeys are not very good for measuring fuel economy. Most accurate is top the fuel tank, drive ~60 miles with normal driving on the highway and then top the fuel tank again, preferably in warm weather. If after this journey the MPG is high than you have a problem. I never measure mpg in the city, too much variables. It's not wise to use fogs, they produce bright light where you don't need it - very close to the front of the car. Your eyes focus on this bright light and loose visibility where you need it - up ahead. If your headlights are good enough fog lights are useless even in deep fog.
  3. Old post, but let me answer. The clock is actually a board computer with a lot of functions. More info here: http://www.telwis.pl/universal-trip-computer-utcomp-p-119.html?osCsid=029c18c34db86a76dfd35c273b10a5ea
  4. Thank you philgor for the entry. It's been a while since I entered this contest. p.s. If you need bigger pictures, here are links to original size photos from Flickr. You can change them if you want. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8594/15255584773_079d475199_o.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8630/15253015384_325ca47e98_o.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7570/15874622552_66a67c0336_o.jpg
  5. Niiice, looks fantastic in there. S2000 cluster is one of the best looking clusters ever. And good job with the wiring. Does everything work on it now ?
  6. You need a side flexible led like this: Then it is side attached to the plastic. You can see the side attached white double sided tape on my photo. This way it is squeezed between the carpet and the plastic. Mine haven't fallen yet for 2 years. And I like that it is hidden and nobody can see this ugly thing
  7. I removed the headliner and ran wires from the front interior light unit to the back. Quite easy to do
  8. I have an old video. Front are VERY bright, that's why I switched to Accord interior light unit. Now when I open the door only the small 3-led bulb at the center lights up. And all the 96 leds are on when I press the buttons. Rear ones are good too, but not as bright as the front ones. And here are the boot lights, they are made of two hidden led strips
  9. It's better to remove it and soak it in something like WD40 / degreaser or etc. That way you'll be sure it will be cleaned properly. I left mine overnight soaking. Sure some coolant will spray from the hoses when you remove the iacv but nothing to worry about.
  10. Yes, they have a lot of options for the dials, speed range, rpm range, colors and etc. Check their website: http://moman.pl/eu/honda-civic-1995-2000-5d,27,144.html And they ship to UK.
  11. Thank you guys appreciate the comments I think it's a must. Otherwise the needles get kinda lost because of how bright the plasma dials are.
  12. To set the idle follow the procedure in the manual: The idle adjusting screw is on the throttle body:
  13. Okay, here's my thread back. Most of you already know the car. It is a perfect example of how you can waste a lot of money transforming a MB3 in MB6+ when you can just get an MB6.. but where's the fun in that. It was a bone stock MB3 with boring exterior and interior: Now it looks like this: - Exterior - Interior - Lighting - Acceleration Complete list of mods: [Exterior]VTI-S front and rear lipMG ZS side skirtsMG ZS side repeatersMB6 headlight washersMB6 SpoilerRover 400 heated side mirrorsJazz washer jets[interior] Complete conversion from gray to black interiorMG ZS carbon effect trimsMG ZS rubber matsMB6 semi-leather seatsMB6 leather armrestMB6 gearknobIntegra DC2 steering wheel[Engine - D15Z8]D16Z6 starter 4-2-1 Twister exhaust manifold Bad exhaust system with different sizes + restrictive Supersprint backboxD16Z6 Intake manifold ITR Airbox with CAI extension and ITR intake hoseHybrid gearbox 3.250, 1.900, 1.346, 1.033, 0,702, FD 4.437 Exedy 08022 clutch (made in Japan)VTEC - D16Z6 camshafts + rockers arm assembly + injectors 240cc + adjustable cam gear + P28 ECU [Lighting]Moman plasma dialsLED illuminated green buttonsUV illuminated needlesAccord interior light with 96 LEDsRear interior lights from BMWCustom led boot lightsBosch Compact 100 FogsProjectors retrofit (FX-R3 2.5", Hella gen 3 ballasts, Philips 85122+ bulbs, Morimoto harness, E55-R shrouds)Osram diadem chrome repeatersPhilips Daylight 8 DRL[suspension and Braking]MG ZS 180 shocks and springs with ZS120 front springs Front arb 26mm from MB6 + Rear arb 20mm from ZS18015" Artec wheels MX 7,1kg15" Uniroyal Rainsport 2 195/50 EBC Solid front and rear rotorsTRW Pads[Audio]Kenwood KMM-361SDMorel Tempo 6 front speakersMB6 tweeters Plans now are - get my first job and save for B18C4 which of course I won't leave stock.
  14. Yes, the first pic is the result of standard MG ZS 120 shocks and springs There are no aftermarket suspension parts on the car.
  15. Check ignition timing with a timing light if it's not correctly set can rob a lot of power.
  16. The only difference between LHD and RHD headlights are the lense inside, this thing: I recently binned two RHD lenses :/
  17. This thread is a great idea ! Name: Emil Car: Honda Civic MB3 D15Z8 Vtec-e Performance Mods: D16Z6 intake manifold, 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, ITR airbox and intake pipe, Exedy clutch, Hybrid gearbox (3th and 4th from CRX and 4.43 final drive), bad exhaust system (different sizes) Which Drag Strip: Kondofrey@Bulgaria Times: 60ft - 2.73 1/4 Mile and Trap Speed - 17.47 @ 76.01mph I'm on the right. On the left was a Civic EK3 with similar mods to mine.
  18. Problem fixed, I'm an idiot Fog brackets were switched, left for right and right for left. I'm surprised I was able to put them like that. But this resulted in more cutting than necessary. Fortunately you have to be very close to notice it. But Honda markings are stupid. Currently one side has fog and bracket with "L" marking for left matched with surround that has "R" marking for right ?!
  19. Hmm, I'm not sure it will work with this MDF piece. You should remove the old inner plastic thing, you don't need it. On the door there are four holes for screws, see if you can drill holes in the MDF to match those on the door. I doubt it but give it a try. Or maybe drill new holes in the door to match the MDF. Here's how it looks on mine, but my MDF is specifically for my car.

    MB6 gear knob

Yep, that's a major downside for me. Summers here are very hot and I don't have a garage. Every time I get in I can barely touch my steering wheel, I can't imagine what it would be like if I had a metal gear knob And unfortunately most aftermarket gearknobs are metal.

    MB6 gear knob

Well okay, but I currently have only my phone to shoot. It's just the standard vti gear knob. I looked for oem leather gear knob and I can't find any. I guess I have to put leather on my stock one. Yep, that's true. I can see it as more comfortable if you grab the gear knob with your fingers. But I form a cup with my palm and it is more comfortable with more round gear knobs.
  22. Recently I bought a MB6 gear knob. I have never seen it in person, but in pictures it looked good. When I received it I founds two problems. First I thought it's leather, but it appears it only looks like that. It's the same material as the stock one. Is there an oem leather one at all, maybe EK4 ? Apart from not being leather there is another problem, it's not comfortable. I didn't notice it at first but when I drove my friend's MB1 with the stock knob it felt more comfortable. Am I the only one feeling the same way ?
  23. Again no luck Now I think my VTI-S lip is in the way. I think I should remove the lip, put the surrounds and then put the lip back.. Otherwise I really don't think this could go in. ch I can't believe those fogs are OEM. There is so much cutting involved. Bumper needs cutting, lip needs cutting..
  24. 25. Mines like that too. Stock wheel has a 45 degree hole, integra wheel has a hole in the bottom. Just rotate the srs reel so it matches the hole (don't mind the top sign). Don't worry the reel can rotate more than the wheel. If I remember correctly it could do two and a half rotations both sides. I'm driving like that with no problems so far. The Intgra srs reel is a bit different to match the steering wheel. I was thinking of buying one but there is no need for that..
