That sounds promising to me!

100% agree with you, the tape measure and the treads were best friends during the many hours I spent adjusting and readjusting mine when I had them.

MB6 won't start, fuel pump and ignition working....
Krzys replied to supertwisted's question in SOS! Help!!
Have you checked the spark plugs themselves? Could possibly be that the spark isn't strong enough? Might be worth changing the cap and rota arm on the dizzy to rule them out. Could still be the igniter or coil in the dizzy. -
Yeah can't see the K24 bottom end wanting to go much higher than 7 or 8k rpm anyway. Similar to the B20 builds. Torque figure sounds good though!

Good effort there! Have a gander here for cases bud, not sure which iPad you have but you can find it on the site if needs be. http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/cat/iPad-Cases.htm

Cool project, are you planning anything for it other than the necessary to bolt the head on and get it running? Don't suppose you know what to expect powerwise with it just put together and running?
-
Yes big engines and the power they come with is addictive!
-
Enough poke even with an autobox then!

My guess is you'll want 10mm of preload, then make sure you adjust the height to how it was and see how you get on, I did a lot of trial and error to find my happy medium, which is fine in the summer, not so good this time of year

Didn't take long! Wish me luck with mine! -
No idea, doubt it but I wouldn't need to worry as the EP3 JDM model is what I meant rather than the M
-
No worries.

I would say on the standard MB6 I noticed the difference between the OEM and MG rear ARB in terms of how the front end behaves. I might one day go for the JDM rear ARB for the Type R as its thicker than the UK one, should work on the same principle.

Only one was wrong? I would have thought two would be the wrong way?
-
Yes exactly that mate, I used the second ring as a starting point of reference so I could measure how much preload I had put onto it.

Jump the boat I say! -
Saying that, projectors are awesome, as long as they are 5000k bulbs, I'm not keen on blue/purple in the light.

Ricciardo showed him up in his own pride and joy. The lack of aerodynamic help reduced him to average.

Forgot to say, changing the preload affects the ride height too, so be sure to double check that when you've played with the preload.
-
You can adjust the preload and the height, top lock ring is for preload only, Meister set this to about 10mm of preload when they assemble them. Reducing the preload softens the ride and allows a bit more roll. Best way I found to measure the preload is to undo the top ring until the spring just rests on it but has no play when you try to move it by hand up or down. Then move the other lock ring to sit with the top on but not tight. Then add preload until the gap between the two top rings is whatever you want, 5mm, 10mm etc. My happy medium was 5mm gap. Once you've set it then do the second ring tight with the top ring. Hope this makes sense and I hope it's helpful!

Get some filler on it and it'll look as good as new!
