  1. My old S2000 loved super as well. I had to put normal unleaded in it twice and the difference in responsiveness and economy was certainly noticeable.
  2. I was just wondering what people use in their MBs, particularly the B18. I've always used regular unleaded in the Civic, really just because I can build Clubcard points to use at Pizza Express I'm tempted to move to Super Unleaded though just to see how it affects performance and fuel economy. As it's a jap engine, do these engines prefer the taste of a higher RON? Is the ECU pretty adaptive when it comes to changing between octanes?
  3. Lovely looking car. I love the colour too. Before I bought my VTI-S I'd tried to get a nice clean EM1 and I think it was in this colour.
  4. It possibly was a lucky escape for you lol, although an H22 coupe would be a pretty sweet car to have. Do you still have it? I think I'd initially spent over £700 (incl labour) sorting stuff out when I first bought the car so yeah it was a costly start and it had held me back making the modifications that I'd wanted to make. It's now alot closer to the immaculate low-mileaged VTI-S that it was advertised as lol and will hopefully keep me on the road for the next while. I love driving it now. My Audi hasn't turned a wheel now in almost 3 months
  5. Yeah get yours sealed. If it fixes your leak and saves you buying boot trim then happy days
  6. Jetex back box just ordered. It's a 2.5" straight through so hopefully it'll still have decent flow, but with a perforated centre tube to quieten it down. I did a search on here and didn't find anyone else with one I just need to decide on a tip now. Outward rolled is nice but some of the rolls I've seen are huuuuuge looking. I'm still just tempted with a 3" inward rolled tip to keep it pretty standard looking. I was out yesterday for a blat and had the window down and sunroof back for the first time since I owned the car. This 5Zigen back box is alot louder than I thought, but amazing in VTEC. I just burst out laughing at it lolol I need to get a video of it to put on here.
  7. If anyone had read my "What's this in my boot" thread I had suspected that this boot seal might be the cause of my little puddles in the boot floor, so I sealed round the edges of the boot vent a few days ago with the same sealant that I'd used on the windscreen. It started raining heavily last night so I went out for a spin and went back today to check. Bone dry so far so happy flippin' days! I was off work today so finally got round to installing the Ring Luminator fog lamps that I bought way back at the start of December. They replaced the Luminators that had previously been on it but had seen better days (see page 1). Anyways, they look pretty well, although maybe still need a bit of adjustment. I was talking to a mate over the weekend when I was helping him fit a roll cage into his mk2 Golf project and he suggested I look in to a Jetex back box for the car. He's offered to build me one up so I'm going to get the parts ordered for it soon and get him to weld me something nice up. This is the base part. I just need to figure out a nice diameter for a tail pipe.
  8. Fake police chase sounds great craic I'd have been grinning from ear to ear if that had been me New wheels look good. I'd love a set of those in gunmetal for mine. What sorta weight are they compared to your 16" fanblades? Is there much difference between the two?
  9. I'm going to seal the edges later and see if that fixes the problem. I'll report back
  10. Still one of my favourite cars on here. Really looking forward to seeing the new wheels on. Please make some more projectors for us. It'd be a nice wee earner for you
  11. Maybe hit it with sealant round the edge of the vent and see how that goes
  12. Funny as if I run my hand along the inside of the rear of the car where the vent is, it's covered in condensation towards the arch ffs.
  13. Yep it's def some sort of vent with a thin material on the inside. It's on the left hand side of the car just below the rear light cluster. I've no clue what it could be for apart from somewhere to let air circulate should I want to lock someone in my boot
  14. I've been poking and prodding round my boot trying to find the source of my leak. I took this pic the other day as a potential candidate but last night I did see a noticable water trail coming from one corner of this whatchamacallit. Any idea how water could be getting in? My rear wheel arch lining is still there, but would that be where water would get to that area?
  15. We'll all be swearing at those little BMWs as they keep up with our MBs at the lights in complete silence. 170bhp and 184lb ft torque aint bad at all. They weigh pretty much the same as a VTI though I see that Apple introduced Carplay the other day which will transfer everything on your iPhone screen over to a touch screen on the dash. It'll work with Blackberry's software too. Honda have supposedly signed up to integrate it in to their cars from later this year, so maybe we'll see this in the new Type R as well.
  16. I took a couple more photos last night. The ITR air box in it's current placement. The rocker cover is just an embarrassment but further down the to-do list right now. My windscreen sealing As long as it stays dry now I can clean up that damp stain with upholstery cleaner. Nice clean plates and beading
  17. Have you ran out of cash yet? I still want first dibs on your 16s
  18. I actually like that new BMW I don't know why as I hate the thought of an all electric car. Even the shape of it isn't bad, but then I love Audi A2s as well which were seen as a bit of an oddball motor.
  19. God I wish my engine bay was as clean. I'll def have to replace the air box with another one, when a tidier one pops up. Yeah that'll be my next plan thanks I really want to make that corner a little bit more OEM looking
  20. http://civic5.com/forum/index.php?/topic/7751-the-new-civic-type-r-turbo-opinions-people/
  21. Lol I'm only slagging It seems a much more relaxed forum compared to others I'm on who'd string you up for not searching first, even if their search page is rrrrubbish. A hybrid system like the 918 would be amazing and something I'm sure we'll see in one of the next Type Rs. No more jokes about lack of torque I actually can't wait to drive a car that will have a respectable amount of instant power available. Hopefully we'll get normal priced cars like that in the next decade.
