Yep I'll be putting the back box up for sale in a week or two once I get it back
-
lolol I know but neither are going to be overly obvious on the car. If there were OEM Honda replacements I'd have picked those first. One will hopefully make my ITR airbox more efficient. The other will remove the one part of the car that I think is pretty feminine
-
So the Civic is away getting the 5Zigen exhaust removed. Anyone any thoughts on how I'd go about pricing one? I've been looking on eBay uk for a while and none have popped up for sale to compare against. There are a few used ones on US eBay though for a couple of hundred dollars. From looking at pics, it looks like a 5Zigen Fireball, but any experts on here? Also as some of yous know I'm a bit of a VAG whore and I'm adding a couple of small subtle 'German' additions to the car in the next few weeks Both are to improve power and masculinity though lol

Thanks I think it might be these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10x-Honda-Interior-Carpet-Boot-lining-Seat-Back-Plastic-Trim-Panel-Clips-/370777701581?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACivic&hash=item565412bccd I need some for the passenger footwell too as it seems to have been pulled back as well The car is away getting the 5Zigen back box removed so I'll double check when it comes back

For the sake of a couple of quid and literally 2 mins of your time it def wouldn't hurt I just need to get some plastic clips to clip the boot carpet back in to the plastic trim as the previous owner must have binned them all ffs.
-
Just bumping this one as it has been a month since I sealed that vent and I've had a good few drives in the rain to see what happens. I'm happy to report that the boot is dry, so might be worth checking if anyone has a puddle in their boot

Sounds like you had an awesome day. Any pics? I did a Formula Ford day at a local track a good few years ago. Loved it and couldn't believe how great a single seater handled in comparison. I'm stopping off in Kuala Lumpur for a few days at the end of June this year so I'm signing up for the driver experience course at Sepang F1 circuit. They've a fleet of GT-86s so I'm looking forward to seeing what the hype is about with them

I'd love a set of projectors. There is simply no other way I'd consider changing my headlights.

Honda Accord with Integra Type R engine on eBay???
feck_on_a_stick replied to feck_on_a_stick's topic in Chat Lounge
What sort of engine conversion is that??? A deer one. Boom tish! -
I can't say I'm a big fan of the foam, although my 2006 Civic Sport came with a can as standard rather than a spare or space saver. Thankfully I never had to use it.

He looks like a detailer/valeter if those pics were taken at his place of work. Maybe it was an Accord but shrunk when he washed it. -
Erm........... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/honda-accord-with-integra-type-r-b16-engine-/310895604429?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4862d272cd

I need to change the tyre on my spare but was starting to wonder if I should just replace it with a space saver to save a little bit of weight as they seem to be around the same price as a decent replacement tyre. Anyone else done the same? Would they cover the brakes if I needed to put it on the front? Would it throw an ABS light on our cars? Anything else I'd need to consider? Summat like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-HONDA-MITSUBISHI-HONDA-HYUNDAI-SPACE-SAVER-APRE-WHEEL-4x114-genuine-/171247498866?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item27df257672

Civic mb6 economy BOOORRIIINNGGG (Yawn)
feck_on_a_stick replied to Civicnige's topic in Engine & Chassis
What exhaust work did you get done? Anything to do with the Lambda sensor? I wonder if it's telling the car to over-fuel to compensate? I'd have thought that would throw and engine management light though. Also something like a dodgy coolant sensor can affect mpg, but you'd notice issues with your temperature gauge and the fans always being on, even when the engine is cold. -
lol there's just something period-correct about the chrome grill that would make me prefer to keep it that way. I suppose I'm trying to stay with an OEMish look on the outside where I can. The only other option for me for the grill surround would be colour coded PB.

I haven't even tried to figure out the economy on mine. When I last took any notice I think I got around 270 miles to a full tank which I'm thinking is high 20s. Back then I only had a 2.5" decat system and my 5Zigen back box. 23mpg is pretty poor though. I wonder if it's something else mechanically causing the issue? You weren't doing lots of short journeys even? -
Thanks dude De-tango the indicators in the headlights would be a great mod. I'll be honest though. I'm on the fence when it comes to de-chroming the headlights. I'm pretty sure I'm either alone, or in the minority here, but I still quite like them chrome; same with the grill lol I'd much prefer Dinochips made up a few sets of projectors and sold me a set The chrome part that I'd really like gone is the strip on the rear, and I'd be looking it painted PB.

And people wonder why we stick to OEM body kits.....

Awful. -
The old girl shines up well these days. I just took this after a very quick wash and drying off with some Last Touch. Shame I only ever seem to take pics at sunset ffs!
-
If they removed the vtec characteristics and also made a boring looking slow car then it would be a big fail, however, it looks like this is still going to be a pretty rapid machine with a well engineered engine and chassis. That's still a win in my eyes.

My old S2000 loved super as well. I had to put normal unleaded in it twice and the difference in responsiveness and economy was certainly noticeable.
