Roj's Mean Green No Fire Trucks Given Machineâ„¢ (Rust In Pieces)
Roj replied to Roj's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
A couple of months ago I said I needed to IronX my alloy wheel. Well I found a cheaper alternative at Asda. CarPlan Wheel Silk. Does exactly the same thing, but not as well, but it's much cheaper so it's easier on my wallet. Sprayed half the bottle on my caked alloy and it's now actually silver. Just need to use the other half to remove the stubborn brake dust inside between the spokes and then give the car a good wash (read: give it to the Romanians round the corner) to finish the job. -
Is our stand going to be on grass? That would hide my lack of lows.

Making a quick list of things that I want done before Japfest. - Black surround headlights - Mesh grill - Dechrome - Cat-back exhaust - Audio - A bloody good clean and polish!! I'd love to have lows but I don't think I can afford Meisters so soon, maybe in time for Japfest2.

I've been struggling to find a wheel of this style in 4x114.3 ever since I found out Calibre Motion 2s don't fit. Closest I've found are these from XXR but they're not exactly like the Cades. http://www.japshop.co.uk/acatalog/XXR-521-4X114.3--16-INCH-WHEELS.html

Yeah. I think I'll leave them and just smoke the ambers or something.

They're different clips and the lenses are firmly sealed in so I can't remove them without smashing them to be honest.

Went to see how my EU7 was doing last weekend. I miss how reliable and easy to drive it was, but I don't regret swapping it for the MB6 one bit. And now let me tell you about side repeaters. The set on the right I bought on eBay from a seller called xenons_uk. The advert said they would fit MB's, but when I received them they were EG fitment and thus were too small for the MB6. I messaged the seller and got a refund but they let me keep the repeaters, so no harm done. The set on the left I purchased from Gordon Flash Jackson on the Civic5 Facebook page. I don't know if he's on the forums. Anyway he was honest and told me one of the clips was broken, so he threw in the smoked set you see in the middle for free so I could take the missing clip off that set. So now I have this. I'm thinking of putting the smoked set on my MB3 but does anyone have any idea how I'm going to fit them with a missing clip? I've considered glue but then if a bulb goes I'm kinda screwed.

Integra Type R B16?! -
Slightly off topic but this picture has convinced me to go for black headlights and colour-coded grill on my MB6 too. Looks so good.

That was hillarious when your mate got in my boot. Even more so when I closed it and started the engine. Yeah I was hoping they'd come out blue. Ah well, I love the pure white anyway.

Saw this for cheap on eBay, thought of you guys. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mg-zs-spoiler-carbon-Fibre-Wrapped-/141216869415?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20e12e6c27

Right, got the Diamond Vision headlight bulbs and CREE interior bulbs fitted. Was hoping these would come out more blue but on the bright (lol) side they're pure white so there's no yellowy nonsense going on. They light up the road really well too. Nice and bright interior. Won't lose a penny on the floor ever again. And finally the boot, because why not.

Taking advantage of the fog we're currently having at the moment to play with my fogs some more. Really can't wait to see what Diamond Vision and CREE bulbs do to the front end of my car at night.

The only decent bumper out of all those. If it had rub strips it'd actually look really good.
-
I only put Shell V-Power and Tesco Momentum in my MB6. My MB3 I run on regular Asda unleaded, they have some additives in the fuel which helps clean the engine. Useful when your car is approaching 130,000 miles.
-
No problem dude! Had a blast. I've ordered some CREE bulbs for the fog lights now, as well as the same Philips Diamond Vision bulbs you have for my headlights. Should come out as nice as yours I hope. Oh and here's some night time pictures of the new fogs. Cant get over how sweet they look.

It really was a great day out man. Next time I'll break into 15's.
-
Yeah. Maybe I'll get a new/chipped ECU at some point and lower the IAB engage point. That should help. Ah I see. Yeah you hardly notice until you look closely anyway. I'm a little worried in case water gets in the gap but I suppose since the fog casing is plastic it shouldn't end up like my OEM fogs.

Alrighty! Time to get this project thread moving along with some mods and stuff. I went to pick up the MB6 on Saturday, as I was heading off to Santa Pod to celebrate Shafzzz's birthday on Sunday. Nothing like a long drive and some quarter miles to help you get reacquainted with a car. Like the MB3, the MB6 unfortunately had a sidelight bulb and a number plate bulb out, so I replaced both with LED items. Oh and the fogs work, despite being in the worst condition possible. More on that later. Met up with Shafz and headed to Santa Pod with some friends, then "accidentally" ended up parked side by side in the waiting queue. I won't be washing that souvenir off anytime soon. 19th car in the queue. We did 3 runs each, 2 of which were against each other. I ended up racing a 350Z on my second run, joys. My best was a 16.4, with budget tyres and the spare tyre still in the boot. Not bad? Also I was the only MB Civic there, representing. Just parked with some friends afterwards. Moving onto today, I decided to remove the broken old fogs and install the fogs I bought off Knight. I'm surprised they worked looking like that. Tada! Ready to attack the dark. Just need to get some CREE LED bulbs for them and it'll be like daytime all the time. I really do like the fly eyes tint and carbon wrapped surrounds. Although is the foglight supposed to stick out that far? WRCMB3 making an off road friend.
