Thanks for the excellent info Chandler : ) albeit Honda prices are horrendous.

Hi and welcome aboard Claire, AFAIK a cam belt change is recommended @ 72K. Rubber perishes over time so your safest bet is to have the belt changed anon. Enjoy your very well kept MB2

Certainly sounds like a cylinder head casket on it's way out .......removing the thermostat often masks pending gasket failure. If you visit an MOT Station or borrow a CO2 tester you'll detect CO2 fumes from the header tank if a cylinder is blowing across to a water galley.....cuts out the guesswork. Good luck

Refinement will improve once you replace the d**ky cable....good luck with the repair

On checking....I see the DC5 is the one that got all the accolades......the only upgrade your mate will need is a roll cage
-
The Integra R DC2......quickish and handled like a dream....I realise the Ep3 and the Fn2 are even better but I just fancy the early Integra.
-
The Integra Type R would be my favourite.

Sadly, I've never driven any fast Honda's but I sure would like to rent one for a weekend. Tell us why you have a preference for any given model at this link : http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/best-cars/fast-hondas-special/93007/top-10-best-ever-fast-Hondas

Tasty motor and intended mods Tis the twin tailpipes that gets my motor running.

Not alone are you increasing the volume of water, you're also increasing the cooling area by a significant amount therefore your engine may struggle to reach optimum temp during cold snaps which in turn will result in incorrect fuelling which may trigger an orange dash light. After saying all the above......your car may run like a dream ?.......lol

Fitting an oversize radiator will look aesthetically pleasing but engine performance and reliability will suffer

Great buy .....you got to install a decent music system for the Euro trip

Nice thought Simpo but entering the competition I ain't because I've put very little effort into improving my car whereas others put blood sweat and tears into their pride and joy. Anyway, under close inspection my car wouldn't hold a candle to some of the minters on here. -

Hi Phill, I decided to bang an image of a hatchback on because they seem to be thin on the ground. Nay, I don't have a build thread to Add.....I bought it .....tightened it up, filled it with petrol and away I went I'm in my mid 50's so I'm past modding per se. Just remove my posts if my car is upsetting the thread......I promise you it wont upset me in the least. -

Well done Grant -
Catching a 911 or staying with one is no mean feat....brilliant ...I love your style Krzys .....pity the flywheel let go.

Very sensible to check linkage bushings and any potential fouling.

I can't ever remember double de-clutching helping much with up changes.....but it should help ? with guidance you've been very logical in your approach thus far so you must now start doubting the clutch......if you had said you hear "screeching" as opposed to "scraping" guessing would be easier.
