GSF can and do supply Honda service parts etc. http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ If you input discount code "apr43" today 24/04/16 (offer ends midnight tonight) you'll get 43% discount. If you have discount codes for other Sites, don't be shy about sharing 'em
  2. 2nd hand is the WTG : Contact @10000rpm (our resident scrapper) or give either of these scrap yards local to you a ring : http://www.wembleycarbreakers.co.uk/ http://www.londonautoparts.co.uk/ Good luck

    Honda CR-V

It may be to your advantage if the asking price is low enough.
  4. Whichever car can do the half hour in twenty minutes .....gets my vote
  5. Your car is capable of a lot more mileage

    Honda CR-V

Sad to learn your newbie has been attacked by an Audi Phil Good luck with the repairs
  7. I'd imagine an MOT tester would frown upon such a spacer ?.....if the oxygen Police start flagging me down I'm confident my car will pass without the "cheat"..............my car used to throw P0420 when I travelled more than 7 miles or thereabouts so I had no problem getting through the emissions test once I erased P0420 and reset the ECU values. I used the 90 degree spacer.
  8. Hi Aman, Your cheapest route to success would be to fit one of these : http://www.japspeed.co.uk/angled-lambda-sensor-spacer.html If that doesn't work......you'll have to start looking at sensors or CAT replacement. BTW the above lambda spacer means P0420 no longer plagues my car.
  9. Just purchased a back box from GSF for £37.....was listed @ £63 but managed to use a 41% discount code I sourced online WKEND41 FOR 41% off at GSF this weekend

    A tempting V8

I suppose I'm dreaming whilst awake....lol Upon checking....insurance would cost me £650 whereas my trusty Civic weighs in at £395.....tis a no brainer to stick with the Civic. If I was Hell bent on such a monster I'd be looking to buy the car for no more than £550. A mechanic friend of mine used to drive a 728.....like you say John....class motor.

    A tempting V8

This V8 BMW might suit someone that's entitled to free car tax : http://www.elitevehiclesalesltd.co.uk/used-cars/bmw-5-series-3-5-535i-4dr-leigh-201604052647828 My heart yearns for such a motor but my head tells me I need one "like a hole in the head"
  12. Beautiful shot of a lovely car John ....your wheels look ace. IMHO auto's fare better over the years i.e. they're less likely to have been thrashed or neglected.
  13. It's the weather that's keeping DD 's mileage so low....she'd have galactic mileage if you were living in the Mediterranean With a bit of luck DD will easily pass her MOT after a "free up" drive My car doesn't even come close to the condition of DD and others on here but I can describe my car as a decent dependable motor that has buckets of charm....it's easy on fuel, easy to drive, easy to park, easy on parts but sadly it would also be easy to steal. I really think it's the smooth auto box that endears me to this car so much.....90 bhp is quite tame but at least it goes like the clappers in kickdown
  14. I only covered 1,400 miles since the last MOT so thankfully my car sailed through the MOT 10 days ago with no advisories I did have to replace a headlight (UV damage) and the Garage replaced rear drop links that were that were annoying the Hell out of me. My rear box (silencer) will soon need replacing.....they're relatively cheap and looks a doodle to fit. Got to see the underside of my car whilst it was on the Garage lift.....I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and rust free it was and it was plain to see the car was well looked after in the past. So my cheap runabout gets to live another year

    My mb6

An impressive list of mods Marv Only managed to view one image.....Photobucket seems to be on the blink ?
  16. Wow ! that's impressive mileage Pete. This thread may help : https://civic5.com/forum/topic/10121-lambda-sensor-5-wire/#comment-267017 If your car has excessive oil consumption.....might be better to ignore the Lambda woes ?
  17. May also be beneficial to check your pollen filter and housing ducts for leaves etc. http://civic5.com/forum/files/file/15-diy-guide-no2-change-the-pollen-filter/
  18. Very presentable motor :)......looking forward to your improvements.
  19. When your car is afflicted by a CEL the ECU automatically reverts to default fuel settings therefore it is prudent to reset the fuel values. Once you've reset the ECU....re-start your car and take it for a drive whilst it's in learn mode........job done . Thanks for linking us to the electronic dodge.....I'll view the details later on. Good luck with the MOT albeit your car should pass the emissions test without issue.
