  • 2 weeks later...

So finally finished getting the CTR recaros in on Saturday (piccies to follow) after getting the driver side one in the saturday before.

Need to get ol' tubbs in for some bits and bobs - driver side ball joint is going the way of the passenger side (creeeak) and get some new Honda front disks (coz the ones that are in have laster 145k) and green stuff pads, and get my ABS sensor whacked in at the same time.

then it's the gearbox biz on the radar... :D

changed the passenger side one while the royal wedding was on

Reading up about the roll centre adjusters seems like they can cause wheel clearance issues...? got enough of those already ;)

so some pics from the seat install.

Drilling the brackets off the old rails...20111029_001b.jpg

Positioning the brackets onto the steel plates (rails on the recaros are closer together than on the original seats)

One of the brackets with the plate welded to it, and bolted back into position on the car..

repeat 16 times and measure /position the new rails on the plates and some more welding and bob's your uncle / fanny's your aunt :D

2 new seats!

awsome difference - much more comfortable 8-)
