Krzys
Sounds good! I'm willing to be the flywheel has helped quite a bit! Any idea if it's all been a straight swap in the end once you had the right bits or did the box need any machining work?

dr_broon
gonna wait a week or so to get some miles on it before giving it some beans.
Krzys
Yeah I would! They normally say 1000miles to run in a gear box, I'd definately give her some time with the new parts! Bet you can already feel the acceleration is easier without booting it?
dr_broon
aye - you can. Don't feel the need to change down as much Will be interested to see how far 1st goes now - feels like it's pretty short.
dr_broon
picked her up last night, had a few gentle miles last night and a calm drive to work this morning, and so far I'm pretty happy with the results - everything just seems a lot easier.some numbers - revs are:2.2k in 4th @ 303k in 5th @60i think that to a certain extent the teg flywheel has offset the negative effect of the longer 5th - it now seems easier to accelerate from low revs.bit of an issue with selecting 1st sometimes - the honda dude thinks it might just be the new 1st gear, but will keep an eye on it and is gonna give everything a check over tomorrow.and 3.5k @
