Dave
Meantto update this lol. Not much happening in DDs world at the moment since I bought TypeS aka Lexy2 as my daily driver. DD now being kept as the classic, so tucked up for winter now. No more salty roads for her!

Yeah, got to keep the old girls away from the salt! We had a bit of salt put down a couple of weeks ago coz there was a tiny bit of frost (they've got an itchy trigger finger round these parts nowadays), but there's been plenty of rain since to wash it away so the deck is still out and about for now. Too many people can't drive in the winter now, so twist about the council not being out with the gritter.
Dave
Had the gritters out a couple of times lately up here too so keeping DD well away from it lol. Did have her out for a run into Edinburgh last week to pick up a kitchen island (she's such a "practical classic" lol) and she drove nice. Funny how small she felt after driving the TypeS! Even though she's the biggest car we have, we both commented the design of her made her feel smaller. Dashboard isn't as deep as new cars, so windscreen is much closer to you, that kind of thing. Was nice to be driving her again though!
Dave
Oh, and bit of an oversight on my part, didn't realise it at the time but her insurance ran out on the day we drove into Edinburgh! 😲 Didn't even get a renewal letter/email! On the plus side, went looking for a new quote and actually got her insurance way cheaper than it's ever been so well happy. Went with OneCall, same company I've got Lexy insured with. Turns out Gayle has Foxy her wee Micra with them too. Bit of a high excess though at £350, but hey-ho would rather have the cheaper premium and take that hit if the worst comes. All in, with breakdown cover, protected no claims, legal cover, courtesy car etc fully comp is £197, although because I'm doing it monthly comes in at £206. Pretty decent!
