Krzys Posted June 28, 2014 Author Share Posted June 28, 2014 I have the same problem! One time I left the MB3 in gear whilst parked at the edge of the dock at work. My heart skipped a few beats when I turned the key. I had an X-Trail a couple of years back reversed up to the garage door with a whacking great tow bar on it and accidentally left it in reverse and turned the key without the clutch dipped (normally dip it when starting but didn't that time) and BANG 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
burbleboy Posted June 29, 2014 Share Posted June 29, 2014 I tend to leave mine in gear on any incline and as i always dip clutch to start the car. Been taught to dip clutch when starting a car since driving lesson as instructor said it makes the car easier to start with the weight off the components! I still do this as it's just habit now!
