damn this is sad, and didn't see this coming! I know you said a long time ago you really wanted a typeR, but thought the plan had been binned. Really hope someone (especially from here!) buys her mate, be so sad to see such a beautiful VTiS broken. But know the situation you're in dictates it's fate, so fully understand. Good news your staying with Honda though mate! Oh snd as for not leaving civic5? Breaking your baby means one thing! In true Alan Sugar style (with wee crookd finger pointing at you) YOU'RE FIRED! LMAO only joking, you staying here is non negotiable! You're team contract states you're part of this crazy family for life!2 points

but don't worry chaps i'm not leaving civic5,,, no way in hell, civic5 is my family now and will always be part of my life2 points

It sounds to me that he just couldn't be bothered to let you know. You should phone the company directly and find out what's happening.1 point
-
That's what I thought, the owners manual isn't exactly clear but the red key is used to code new keys and if used to start the car wipes the ecu and makes the proper key unusable too.1 point

As Nick said, they're meant to give you more notice than that. I'd argue that they accepted you and should honour the agreement for the year, I bet you're well annoyed at that!1 point
-
That doesn't sound right, usually both parties have to give at least 14days notice. Check your paperwork.1 point

Yep if i can find a buyer as for the type r wheel i paid the standard rate of £225 so i will take no less then £200 bottom line wheel can be sold now as got the one old to put back on1 point

I'd go toad ai606 too, had that with total closure, very good system no false alarms. Seems to me the Clifford alarms concentrate on the add ons over the reliability.1 point

Quite easy! Undo the screws at the front of the skirt, usually where the mudflap is (That will need to come off anyway), undo the plastic screws that go along underneath the skirt, once they're all out it "should" slide towards the front of the car and come off, I gave mine a swift boot and it came free1 point
-
If both cars have 3 point belts then yes, straight swap. For side skirts you need the fixings and afaik they should go straight on.1 point

Hate to hear about this! One spectacular m and 57 pages of build thread, that's quite a lot of work you've put in. But one man's loss is another mans fortune, hope the parts will find good homes in fellow civicfivers' builds! If i'd live in the UK i'd be dibbing as well.1 point

97-98 lap belt and smaller fixings, 99 on 3 point middle belt and bigger fixings.1 point

Ah mate, tragic. Such a cracking M, will be gutted to see this go1 point

You don't need a heater, she's quick enough to get you about before you notice how cold it is!1 point

a good idea but I think it's getting old and poorly hence the time to move on.nplusbits far too personalised for me. I like a blank canvas to do my own thing with. But tbh I think I am gonna start looking for one.1 point

Damn water. My civic is mouldy as hell and wet too. It's had a so called breathable waterproof cover on. It recommended leaving the windows open to ventilate. f**king thing was soaked under the cover. Floor wet. Seats wet. Mould all over the wheel and seats.1 point

Plans for the VTi-S, fix it Jobs done so far: Fit an actual VTi-S Gearknob. New thermostat. Fix drivers seat recliner. Replace clock bulb. Fit new headunit. Replace dimmer switch. (Thanks Jake!) Replace hazard warning switch (that I broke). Replace drivers door window regulator. Remove water damaged headlining. Replace rear view mirror. Replace parcel shelf. Repaired center heater vent. Jobs still to do: Fit new headlining, once I can safely say the leak is dealt with. Fit MGZS 180 ARB. Replace front drop links. Replace RTA bushes. De-chrome front and back. Fit clear side repeaters (Thanks Nick!) Repair and fit new front grill. Fit new de-chromed, de-tangoed headlights. Replace backbox (baffle collapsed). Replace rear tyres. This is before I get around to mods! The cosmetic bits mentioned above I already have or just need some DIY modding1 point

agree with all above - ball joint was making funky noises on mine for ages before found out what it was. doesn't do it when it's jacked up because there's no weight on it.1 point
-
Wouldn't be a loss though mate really!! Even if it doesn't resolve it it'll still be nice spanking new ball joints!!1 point

might just sell the recaros, type r wheel, apexi, projectors, rocker cover, hens teeth fogs and carbon p***s and sell the car without those items still look the same from outside minus the projectors then the asking price should be not over the top lol1 point
-
But it would be even worse breaking something you really love Thing is I don't understand why so many people break there cars once they finish modifying there pride and joy. I see it all the time on other forums. Buy a car + modify it + finish it + break it1 point

I wish I had the money to save it from being broken I voted for it for COTY, beautiful motor.1 point

Well KiNK43 I was going to use the d14 loom but couldn't be bothered to change the plugs for the ecu over, so its quicker to pull the dash and swap them. I've got some mental health issues that don't help with my anger that's why the wing got folded.. Also Ammar you can come for a spin when she's sorted, should be s**t off a shovel compared to the hopless D14, and even quicker when she has a turbo fitted1 point

I'm sure I've seen a technique on the inter web where they cut it to rough size, then place over the window with the backing still on and heat gun it so it takes to the curvature of the window.1 point
