  2. I know the previous owner of this car, there were some quite big problems with it when he owned it, and when he sold it on. I don't know if it's been fixed or not, but I know for sure it is chucking out white smoke and sounds like a bag of spanners being strapped to a donkey and being put through a washing machine. Just wanted to let you all know, before someone decided to buy it and didn't know what they'd let themselves in for .

  6. She's still nicely tucked up!!! Haven't touched her in a couple of years. Part of the inspiration for getting the deck, firstly I started her up after 18 months, first turn of the key and realised how much I'd missed the purr. Secondly, I have so many parts etc that are transferable that I figured I could put them to good use on the deck!!

  10. Nice updates mate. Should look good once everything's fitted. I opted for the 3" outward rolled tip on our mb, think it fits in really well.

  12. You could always bid £850-900 if you're still interested and if you win it then you'll have paid less than he wanted to let you have it for.

  16. Just had a quick look through your old project thread, I see there's not much room with that in there. Luckily my garage is bigger than standard and I can get my car and a whole load of other junk in there.

  23. Had a quick blast. Normal driving I can't tell the difference. Under WOT it sounds great especially when VTEC kicks in. As for worthwhile performance gains it's likely to add nothing. I'm a firm believer in sealed airboxes with appropriate ducting. I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon and the stock airbox will be back on

  28. Some small bits. 90mm gear stick extender. Not much use for now but would be awesome with a short shifter! And a noise maker from a breaking VTi on here

  34. I agree Maz, very good price. For what I'm hoping will be a very good tyre. Esp in the dry. They wanted £15, so I emailed them, said that I could get them delivered for free and got given a sales guys DD so I called and he sorted me free shipping! So all in £150 and I'll only pay £7 a wheel for fit and balance after finding a new place.

  39. Last night on my way home from work I went and forked out for a set of Bosch plugs and the appropriate tool to remove/fit the plugs! I dragged my dad outside at 19:30 last night to do it, the NGK's that came out were worn and old but not terrible, they also smelt of fuel, so at that point we were thinking that fuel was getting in, but not being sparked! Popped the new plugs in and a couple of goes on the key, coughing and spluttering she fired! Left her running for a while to get some temperature, she hasn't ran since Saturday! Got brave and took for her a short gentle drive, well as gentle as you get when the area has so many hills! To start with she felt better for the plugs, but as she got properly warmed up she was missing more and more under less and less strain, had to leave her in 4th to do 30mph on the flat it was that bad! But got her back home and left her running while I told my dad about the drive and you could hear her popping, a bit like you'd hear on a carb'd car! So after listening for a few minutes we believe we're barking up the right tree and plan to replace the HT leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap and ignition control module! Apparently the Bosch plugs use less power, so if the ICM is failing and not making the right power and changing the plugs helps then we think this is what has been plauging her! Managed to get the fuel pipe off the rail thanks to Jake's advice, took an age to undo though because of the limited space with the strut bar in place! Was a bit red from the injector cleaner still in the tank but otherwise okay from what I could tell! Hopefully once the bits arrive we will have her sorted! Feel a lot better for having managed to do something towards it!
