And my MB6 is officially dechromed! Getting it to this stage took longer than I wanted it to. I had rounded off screws and washers that wouldn't come out. Unfortunately had to remove them by force but the MB3 generously replaced the broken items. Already in touch with a breaker who will replace the ones I took off the MB3. After a whole day of priming and painting, this was the result on Saturday night. And refitted this morning.3 points

Cheers guys. My MB6 is now booked for a Powerflow cat-back exhaust in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!2 points

Looks like you might have started something with the pressed plates Tom. That is parked properly; away from everyone else and taking two spaces so nobody parks next to it.2 points

I plan to get the adjustable gear for mine soon after coil overs, but I'll let it wear the tyres out some first, I really don't like them so need an excuse to sack them off2 points

Good news everyone! I didn't royally screw it up! I only screwed up a little! A bit of dust settled on the clearcoat as it was drying so the finish isn't perfect, but because it's black you'll never notice it anyway so I'm happy with the result. I'll get pictures up when it's on the car tomorrow. Going to leave it to dry now in a safe place so no dust will get to it overnight.2 points

Went out for a drive to celebrate my successful dechroming. Ended up finding where all the boy racers do mad skidzz. Maybe I'll stake the place out one night and see if anything decent shows up. Oh and of course I took a couple of nice pictures to show off the lack of chrome.1 point

That's a relief lol. It's bad enough my wife has to drive mine Ah shit mate, no way!! Like you said, seems to be a magnet1 point

Ever since I put on the mesh grill, I've been annoyed by seeing the red grill brace behind the mesh. Since the weather is nice and I'm still in a painting mood I decided to rectify that. # Now, someone please take this paint away from me before I actually do more harm than good.1 point

Oh and with about .75 of a degree of toe in on the rears. And a touch on the fronts.1 point

Found another set of very rare mesh wheels...MiM 7x15. Like them even more than the Exip wheels...they have a deeper dish...!!! Paint was already stripped - that means i can start to polish them without any preparation...!!! Can't wait to see them full polished - fitting is perfect:1 point

Well maybe I should try it before I criticise it too much.. Fair play I will get mine done I b the summer then. See what I think1 point

Sounds like you had an awesome day. Any pics? I did a Formula Ford day at a local track a good few years ago. Loved it and couldn't believe how great a single seater handled in comparison. I'm stopping off in Kuala Lumpur for a few days at the end of June this year so I'm signing up for the driver experience course at Sepang F1 circuit. They've a fleet of GT-86s so I'm looking forward to seeing what the hype is about with them1 point

Sounds like a good day mate. I did one a very long time ago, for my 21st, at Brands Hatch, it was Fiesta XR2i's at the time (several laps in that, then taken round by the instructor and then 5 laps in a Formula First single seater). Was bl00dy good fun and I got yellow flagged (to slow down ) a couple of times.1 point

Took inspiration from ammarbm's MB2 for my Civic5 sticker placement. But for the other side I decided to use the "I Heart My MB" sticker instead. And a couple of photos because why not? The spare Civic5 sticker will be going on the MB3 by the way.1 point

I took my time getting he holes even and in the right place but i would -/+ 0.2mm which is not bad. The holes nearly 19mm and the nuts have a shoulder that goes into the holes to locate. Cheers guys! The ally centres are going black and i will do my best to polish up the dishes. Not long now, will order some tyres at the end of the month.1 point
