In fact. I've always been paranoid ever since owning this engine. It's really noisy. Ticky. But it always looks after me. Reliable. And responding well. I watched it bounce off the limiter 10 times today and not a hint of smoke at all. Not bad really it's covered over 120k miles. And I've punished it! Goes to show what good servicing does. New oil and filter every 3k max. And anything needed done straight away3 points

I remember someone boasting about their 2.0l car having a "mighty" 150bhp and I turned around and said "That's 10bhp down on my 1600 Honda!" (Had the EK then!)3 points

Think of it this way, you can spend the money on suspension, then at least when it doesn't run you can stare lovingly at it knowing your hard earned went into making it lower. Or you can put up with it being boat like a little longer but know you have peace and mind that she'll start first time, every time!3 points

Do it a bit at a time as you can afford to then! Start with the oil and filter, fuel and air filters, then plugs and leads, then cap and rotor if you need to etc etc!2 points

HI guys, nice to read about others experiences I thoroughly enjoyed mine! from being purposefully pushed faster and flung into slides, to the awesome noise from the gearbox and constant popping from the exhaust! here are some pictures that were taking on the day!2 points

That's funny u say I can't afford a full service then say ur gunna get bits from halfords. For the price u pay for spark plugs there could prob get a full service cheaper at honda lol1 point

Ah magnecor leads look great mate. .I want ht leads and iridium spark plugs for mine but the combination at least is worth £76 and with magnecor it will be £106..so I keep delaying it for now lol .. looking forward to the USDM mod. . Should look proper nice with your car1 point

Isnt opie oils generally for high performance cars? Yeah i will do a bit at a time. Prob do oil change and filter change alone with Fuel and air filters - although i dont need a air filter as its got an induction kit and cold air feed1 point
-
Shouldn't top up really mate and do the filters. Change the oil completely. Look around, Opie oils are pretty good for oil and filters. Cheap and quick delivery.1 point

It's like when I first got the VTi-S, needed a lot of maintenance work, still needs some but things that aren't vital to the cars running so I can afford to splash out on mods which I've done in spades recently!1 point

I'd expect it give you a reach around as well for that price!!!!What's that all about??1 point

Yeah ok... But for starters I think I deserve them Na I'm making my own set anyway. I got the projectors and the kit. Just waiting for someone to make the mold for me1 point

I'm making a guess anyway.. have you bought a anti gravity mouse mat so you can use the laptop on the sofa and have a proper mouse that floats, instead of that silly touchy feely pad thing???1 point

A well serviced Honda will last for a lot longer than 150k, well worth doing even if you use non oem parts, never under estimate the value of a service.1 point

Yes, as above you won't be able to adjust the camber which is where my problem is. I've ordered some D2 camber arms by the way.1 point

Love the alloys mate, look well smart..And it does make you feel so much better when your car is clean and everywhere around you are filthy cars.. I got in my mates car for five mins tonight, only car i been in for ages that is not ours and the first thing i noticed was the smell (he smokes in his car) and the dust and dirt and stuff sticking out of every cubby hole, felt so nasty getting a car that was not spotlessly clean and did not smell uber fresh LOL1 point
