Oh yes I am its a nightmare. its hard to diagnose something running non-stock parts is all I was saying I the short, I have run decats on cars previous and the standard ECU has been fine with it I think im barking up the wrong tree really and the fact remains that somewhere lies a faulty component. I went a bit Halfords Mechanic there for a short while, you know if you turned up at a garage they would straight away say well you've got a decat on it and a big air filter on it what do you expect ( which enforces the fact they only know how to service breaks and tyres) Harsh but true. the Lambda is pre Cat anyway so really it takes a reading before the processing of the emissions if it was post cat I would say its the decat issue thinking logically that is. better get my thinking cap back on then.3 points

Another box of goodies has arrived! Gates Timing belt kit, ARP head bolts, ARP flywheel & clutch plate bolts, ARP bottom pulley bolt and Golden Eagle block guard. Funky blue belt! Shame it gets covered up really. Waiting for a few more engine bits to arrive before I start stripping the rest of the block down to clean and install. I hope Mr Postman doesn't take too long!3 points

Exhaust fitted... Will get in touch with my exhaust guy and see if he can extend it for me. Fitting didn't go without any problems the exhaust fell down pulling the O2 sensor wire out off the plug. I don't know what way round the wires go back in the plug! Does anyone have a spare secondary O2 sensor they could take a picture of for me? Apart from that it sounds good!2 points

any grease will do copper grease has been used for decades never seen an issue with it myself, some grease (if that's all you got) is better than no grease if you listen to everything on forums you'd never get anything done for the fear of doing something wrong the biggest guide is common sense/logic, if you can afford better grease then great if not use what you have just not stalk butter or lard out the pantry ( I must be hungry lunch time I think). #LAUGHING@MYOWNJOKES get a grip J2 points

Aye! The bleeding is the only part I'll want a second bod for! I reckon if I've not been killed off by the 5.5 mile walk home from the QMC tomorrow I'll be able to get them assembled that evening!2 points

Here we are...my new daily driver: Honda Accord 2.2i-CTDi Executive 2004 model Because of some major problems with my MB9 i had to buy a new car for everyday driving. I have a lot of mileage during one year, so i wanted to get a diesel. I have the car now since last tuesday...it's really comfortable and the Executive Edition is packed with some nice gimmicks. Mods on my wish list so far: 18 or 19" wheels plus lowering the car to the ground. Here are my favorite pics of the first shooting - pure original look...no mods...that's how i bought it:1 point

Some more small updates. My new roof aerial from eBay arrived. Perfect fit and is about 2 inches smaller than standard, looks pretty good. Not tested it yet to see if it actually works I also managed to solve my auto-adjuster headlight issue! For those who don't know, I bought some tinted headlights about 3 months ago. I fitted them and they looked great, but the beam was all over the place! I discovered the lenses weren't attached to the auto-adjusters. I imagined to solve it required taking the headlights out and actually disassembling then and re-assembling them in the correct order. Well today I got my old headlights out and checked out the adjusters and lenses. Couldn't see much but I could see where the adjuster went and what it connected to. Popped the car bonnet, managed to twist the adjuster and it just pulled straight out! This is it: And this is where it goes, I tried for a good 10 mins trying to push it on the lense... with no luck. It just kept popping away!! Got my finger in there for a good feel and on one side I could feel a small notch. After some more precise fiddling with the adjuster and lense it finally clicked into place! The drivers side required the bumper to be pulled away and the headlight to be removed though. The power steering pump was in the way Productive day. That was my only real issue regarding an MOT.1 point

(no disrespect intended just don't see many technical questions on here that much anymore)1 point

So I went to supermarket, parked my car and a lad on a bicycle came over to me asking if it's a proper VTEC. I said it's just a 1.5 VTEC then he was asking me if I'm gonna put a bigger engine on it and then told me he's got same car with B18. So we got into bit of a little chat and I told him about civic5 I don't have plans to swap the engine but now I'm in dillema lol1 point

That's what I mean, if the ecu has been reset then changing back to the standard exhaust probably won't make a difference.1 point

more grease never hurt anything just don't spread it on like butter on your toast and don't get it on your new disc's which look pretty cool I might add, black diamond style niiiiiice. how much was that lot the brembo pads and what make discs? I have religiously used EBC for years ultimax and green stuff from EBC direct.com they always been well priced kit but I know brembo are real good pads.1 point

162. It's basically a stock motor anyway so I'm happy. Only lost a few ponies in 14 years/94k miles! I think it's because the moment you travel at any sort of speed, there's enough air flow to not need a fan at all. It's only in traffic that my temps creeped up.1 point

I wouldn't go for the first set you posted, way too cheap, you're asking for trouble, the last set look like a good bet though, fits eg/dc so by the rule of thumb will fit ours.1 point

If you are savvy about it, its not that costly to go. So you dont need to break the bank to realise dreams! Ive been twice now and the whole holiday is so worth while. Hot Stone Steaks. Mountain Roads. Roads are littered with supercar/trackcars/kit cars/racecars/historics/bikes. 102 Ron Fuel. Mindblowing scenary. Nurburgring its self. German Beer. Autobahns. Explain why this doesnt interest a car enthusiast!1 point

Painted the grille surround and badge black. It WAS matte. I gave it a coat of clear lacquer to toughen it up against stone chips and it ended up the shiniest finish I've ever got... Parked at work. I work at an awesome location.1 point

Really like the wheels you've put on! Looks super tidy that, shame about the first one but that's sometimes how it goes. The threatening messages aren't on though, send him a c0ck shot or an old woman's badger!1 point
