For cheap and cheerful I would concentrate on making it look good rather than go fast. Really depends how much you're willing to put into it. Over the years I've seen car have thousands spent and were only worth 10% of what has gone into them to start with.3 points

Oh no what awful sad news, just saw a thing on Facebook where his car is hoing to be for sale, quickly checked on here fearing the worst and there we have it. Really gutted he was a top guy and always offering help whenever he could, he really stood for what Civic5 is, full of genuine nice people that want to help each other RIP man, and im going to help your wife partner in any way I can to make sure the car goes to a worthy owner2 points

I'm just off the phone to Dave and sarah. Sarah got a message from his wife too. i just cant believe this, he was doing so well. A genuinely nice guy who's been a member here for a long time. It feels like losing a member of the family, which to me and civic5, we have. He's going to be such a big loss to the civic5 team aswell, just so hard to take this in. We'll be setting up a donation system tonight for him and his family. I'll post it up in the latest news and on the sidebar, so please feel free to make a donation folks. It's going to be a very hard time for his family, so we want the club to help as much as we can.2 points

The f18 was 135 SOHC was a cracking engine to be fair and shifted the accord well for what it was. For me it's just the B, H, K, D, engines there are so many more parts available. If you want to go down the purist route and stick with the F then great, I just think to squeeze another 70bhp (if wiki is accurate) out of it will be a costly exercise.2 points

At Honda Poland forum they have ~14 different manuals. I had a look through them and found this useful thing. It was an interesting read Excuse me if it was posted.2 points

thats what i done started with the visual side then moved onto the performance side thing is, the way i see it is that everyone goes for a b series :/ thats why i kept mine D series but then again you could do a B20 build up or even stick something a little more pokey in there2 points

HID kits are only any good with purpose made projectors, mine I think look ace, though need to aim adjusting (too low currently) but that's a job for when I can actually drive my car...1 point

Yeah 10 years ago ebay stuff would have been decent not like the stuff u get now lol Would be awesome to whining blower on a mx5, going to see this 1.6 tonight im slightly excited!1 point

Yeah, plus when we bled them it was only the rears that any air bubbles came out of and they were pretty immediate as if they were sat at the bleed nipple end of the line which to me would suggest it's getting in from there maybe? If it turns out to be that then that'll go down as one of the biggest differences made for such a small amount of being wrong if that makes sense! Small amount of air causing such an impact on the pedal I mean. If it works then it's £6 well spent.1 point

My friend mark is using a b18c4 with stock internals and he's pushing 500 bhp. And he drives it to a track day, thrashes it then drives home again with no issues whatsoever. He uses eBay wastegates and has done for years. Majority of the work was done by Ricky at race tech. Safety lies in the mapping and money spent where it needs to be.1 point

De-badged the boot (again) today and got rid of all the stickers that were on it. One was hiding a little scratch, so i cleaned it up and added a little skunk2 sticker that i got with my throttle body, its not the best but better than a scratch1 point

Gd to have another member with an accord, whats the 2.0 vtec like ? decent power ?1 point

One of the reasons I bailed on turboing. Even waste gate and dump valve need to be decent really. Else ya gonna have issues. It all stacks up in price! So I decided amongst other things that I couldn't afford to do it properly. Now if I was a younger man without the family n that... It would be a different story!1 point
