So after months of waiting, I finally got my hands on a full VTiS kit in Sicilian Red. The skirt has a few scuffs, but nothing some touch up paint shouldn't fix. Already looking better. Other side done! The moment I tried on the VTiS front splitter, I just fell in love with how aggressive the front end of the MB6 looked. The front lip had the usual scuffs and chips, but it also had this cut out of it. The previous car it was on ran a cold air feed so the lip was cut around the funnel. I'm going to cover it with black tape and then just actually fix it later down the line. Really needs lows now. Ooooft. I do have a rear lip to go on, but one of my mudflaps is being a b****r and wont come off. I've soaked the offending screws in WD40, so hopefully that works.2 points

I just thought I'd start a thread on here for my VTI-S. I just bought it at the weekend there from Hamilton in Scotland and drove it back to Northern Ireland on Sunday night. I've always had a soft spot for Hondas having owned a couple of newer Civics and an '08 S2000 GT. When the S2000 went I replaced it with a 2002 Audi S3 and a mk3 golf GTI. I've been slowly doing bits and pieces to the engine in the S3 and bought the GTI as a runaround. The GTI sold in June and I've been looking something to replace it with ever since. When I seen this pop up I had to jump on a plane and go get it. All I have are the pics from the advert, but once I give it a good run over with my polisher I'll stick up some more photos. I'll probably be asking alot of questions on this thread or elsewhere on the site, so any help would be great Anyways, here she is. It's a 1999 car with 68,000 miles, full stamped history and plenty of old MOT certs. It seems pretty standard, although there is a 5Zigen backbox and 2.5" system on it. It also has Integra cams, which to be honest I know nothing about or what effect it has on the car. It still pulls nice and hard and the exhaust is just ridiculous. I can't decide whether to keep it or replace it with something a bit quieter. There are a few niggles that I need to get sorted. The biggest issue is the ABS and SRS lights are both on. I need to get that sorted asap. The rest are smaller things like the alarm remote fob doesnt work, flakey paint on the wipers and fog surrounds and that tow bar lol I'm not sure how VAG stuff goes down on here but he's a wee pic of the Audi as well1 point

Hmmm, I quite like the fake wood mate, as did Dawn. If it had been the lighter shade used in the light grey interiors, then yeah, it would have to go. But as it's the darker wood effect, I kinda think it gives the dash a more up market feel, like the BMW's, Mercs etc of the time the deck was new. The carbon vinyl sheet stuff I'm not a massive fan of, as I think it looks even more fake than the wood! lmao Did think about getting it hydro dipped in carbon effect, or something custom, but decided against it. All personal taste i guess. However, I'm embarking on a new business venture shortly, which will include custom interior car parts,so it might be in for a one off look! Watch this space (for a very very long time! lol) New business will take a wee while to get sorted, got equipment to buy, and a workshop to set up, but hoping it's a success. Spotted a wee niche and Gayle came up with the idea so thought yeah, lets go for it! New bits arrived for the deck today (only wee ones though) to further trick up the interior.1 point

Future-proofed! You haven't adjusted your hand brake properly. Wind the centre console screw OUT fully, so that the hand brake doesn't work at all (releasing the tension built up on the springs on the rear calipers - the cables should be slack at the caliper ends, and the spring mechanisms should have returned all the way to their end stops). Then turn ON the engine to start the power assisted braking. Then pump the foot brake about 20 times to push out the caliper pistons on to the discs fully (this winds them out to their maximum possible extent with the pads you have in there). Then, stop your engine again, and pull the hand brake up ONE click, and ONE click ONLY. THEN wind the centre console screw IN, until both rear discs only just start dragging on the brake pads a bit, but consistently. Then that's it. If your calipers are working fine, and the auto-tensioner spring mechanisms are not corroded or jammed (make sure the springs on the rear calipers are nicely lubed up and free moving), then you should be able to pull up on your hand brake and be fully locked on a hill at somewhere between 6 and 10 clicks (to pass an MOT). Obviously, to do all this readjustment, you should have the back of the car up off the ground on axle stands. Good luck.1 point

Yer do have to say N/A honda That's how it should be . But in these times it would just cost so much to go n/a to keep up with other manufactures and with the engines getting smaller they would have no chance . Long live good old epic N/A I still like turbo, super charge I think it's just you can really turbo any engine to make more power ( how long it lasts is a different point) and job done with N/A is more work and you need a good engine to start with ie honda . Not saying there are no other engines before anyone has a go :lo:1 point

Sorry mate, you've no hope on this thread, I'd back away slowly and start another one.... This is normal service. These 2 only get let out once a week... It's summit to do with care in the community... And rehab for them.... Just carry on as normal.1 point

The IABS should work, however they may restrict you power wise and most of the the map they delete them when re-mapping. Find a decent mechanic with a bit of knowledge on the H22, try performance tek even if you can get some general info out of him over the phone. He has done a few H22 conversions into EG/EK/EM etc.1 point

I really like the h22a n i would love to c one in a mb6 paul so please if this wat u really want in ur car please dont be put off but i could never afford it so im researching the b20 as i can buy bits slowly ready for wen mine wants a rebuild. Thats a point @beastgtir do you no if the iabs will still work with the b201 point

B20 swap is pretty easy and simple to do. B20 bottom end (these can be bought as complete engines for as little as £100 !! Typical price is £3-400) Golden eagle B20 conversion kit (can make this yourself if you got the know how but its not much to buy, contains an oil line kit usually by fitting a sandwich plate to the oil filter, a couple of dowels to align the vtec head to the bottom) I think some people drill oil ways (been a while since I looked into it!) That's pretty much it bar a remap. Ready built engines do pop on ebay for around £600-£800.. basic b20 build is roughly 200 bhp/150 ft lbs of torque. With the short gearing of a S80, better intake manifold n tune. Will unleash some epic power. Or go for boost, you can do a nice set up for under 2K1 point

Lol i personally dont like it n im seeing quite a lot of saxos n focus's with it done so now i cant bring myself to do it lol1 point

Sweet! Not sure if I'm missing something. But you don't want ek engine mounts there completely different!1 point
