They have to be coded by Honda they don't auto sync, they are a waste of time the factory Central locking on these cars is Valeo Rover cr*p, I ripped mine out on all three of my Honda's and fitted after market Central locking Systems which cost about £20 from maplins or ebay and take about two hours to fit, hey presto you have two shiny new fobs. Obviously the OEM Fobs are all coded to the car they came with otherwise any fob once reset would open any car imagine that if you were standing in the car park trying to find you motor, be pretty funny. This is all you need, they work a thousand times better than the OEM ones and looks nice and clean. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Remote-Central-Door-Lock-Kit-Locking-Keyless-Entry-System-Remote-Control-UK-/301101202142?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item461b07bade the Central locking control Box is to the rear of the Ash tray of the centre console, easily accessable all the central door locking solenoids terminate into the, you have to figure out which wires open and close the circuit and which is 12v and ground but you have only five to choose from anyway so it doesn't take long. forget the standard setup mate the fobs last 5 mins and it only works when you stand next to it anyway, rover bobbins. all these fobs actually do is open and close they don't control and alarm or immobiliser as that's the key's job with the transponders in them, so really its pretty useless, other then making life a little easier of course.
