probably best to get some new bolts, get someone to replace the bolts, or just get him to replace the arms with new bolts, then do suspension when you get home1 point

Ultimately the best mod ever to the MA/MB/MC civics has to be the MeisterR's mate. Totally transform the car! Looking forward to seeing the progress pics!1 point

Jesus mate, that car must be one of the cleanest MB's I've ever seen. Suspension parts will completely transform the car, night and day difference1 point

Ok so its been a good while since I've posted anything. Been mega busy ever since I bought the MB with the little one growing up and the new business starting up and all. But finally things are on the move again and to kick things off I just received these yesterday very excited. Won't get them on till next month as I am waiting or some other bits to arrive in the way of adjustable front and rear camber arms,a full poly-bush kit front and rear, some uprated LCA's, and some oem drop links all round. That way I can get it all on at the same time and set up / alignment etc and should only leave me with a rear tie bar to wrap up the suspension / chassis mods other than the obligatory rear ARB upgrade. Also managed to get hold of some freshly fully refurbed 96 spec DC2 alloys to go on wrapped in 4 new Uniroyal Rain sport 3 tyres (Awesome tyres BTW).So its all starting to come along nicely. will post some pics once all the work has been done1 point

Yes, along with PS and AC but I'm not willing to loose comfort. I'm just doing simple stuff that won't affect comfort. I know I won't feel the difference but it will keep me busy.1 point

PB wiper arms by any chance? Shame about the rounded bolt! Once it's dealt with you should get the ITR airbox!1 point

it might also be worth buying them sockets that extract rounded off nuts1 point

lots of WD-40, hammer slightly smaller socket, so use an imperial one and smack the socket on. it will eventually come loose, we hope!!1 point

ahh that seized bolt was a head ache mate, if you can get the garage to free them up abit, I don't mind helping you get your lows fitted just let me know if you need help ðŸ‘1 point

Landrover gear oil is fine yeah. change it, you'll want new oil anyway can always drain it off and reuse it. Just wouldn't get your hopes up mate.. seriously anyone who know my gearbox history. I've been there and done that. Must have spent hundreds on MTF. Never makes any difference for me.1 point

Well it may not be the most exciting thing, but I have officially done my first bit of work on the car starting with the simple fixing of the broken fob buttons / or lack of rather. I'm sure many of you will know that it is near impossible to get replacement buttons or cases for the infrared central locking fobs, but with a bit of simple DIY its easy to sort the issue. Figured I'd post it up in case its of use to anyone else. Step 1: Order a Rover 200 / 400/ 25 /45 (Radio) key fob case with button - £3 on ebay. Step 2: Take apart the Honda key fob and Re-drill the button holes with a 10mm drill bit. I finished off the job with a cone shaped dremel just to take that little bit more and smooth the finish as the buttons are actually 11mm, but you don't want to go the full 11mm or the new buttons will fall out. You can see in the pics that there is just a tiny bit of the recessed lip left. Step 3: Take the rubber buttons from the new Rover Fob and discard the rest of the case. Step 4: Cut the little tail of the rubber buttons Step 5: Using a sharp Stanley or craft knife cut a small 'C' section from the back section of the button that sits over the little yellow square bit on the circuit board (forgot what its called) being careful not to take to much so that you foul the edge of the button where it will meet the case within the button hole. Step 6: Re-assemble with new batteries if needed (made a big difference to range for me) and Enjoy!!! I will post this in the 'How To' or 'Electrical' Section Too.1 point

Will be sure to check them all out, no doubt something will get the old modding bug twitching Thanks Mate, its really appreciated! Nice to be on a forum with some local support. Cheers, haha yeh its already caught a few people out with its stock looks, so deffo going to stick with that bar maybe the obligatory set of alloys and some clear side repeaters. Thanks, Afraid it might be a bit of a slow build as I need to raise some funds first. Glad you like the Scirocco, it was my last project but I had to get something with 4 doors, a good boot and 3-point rear seat belts to cater for the arrival of my Son 4 weeks ago...so along came the MB6. Might be an idea to post the Scirocco build in the non Honda section if anyone is interested?1 point
