  1. Thanks everyone for your advice. Being over 70 any lessening of the squirming around underneath trying to find the ruddy things is a great help. jacktar

  2. Good evening everyone, Recently when I was going to work, it was a rainy day and at low rpm when I accelerated i felt my car bogging between 1500-3000rpm. The problem went away after few miles of highway. Few days after the samething happened and after I let the car idle for few minute the problem is gone again. One thing that I noticed is, when im on the highway when I press the gas, the car seems to pull very well until 5k rpm after that between 5k and 6k it seems there is some loss of power. I also noticed that if i keep the accelerator steady around 5k rpm the car seems to misfiring/loss of power. Any of you had a similiar problem ? What are you opinions ? Thanks PS: my distributor cap has cracks new the screw areas, does it affect the performance ?

  4. Had that before :/ Friend and I cleared out the scuttle drains few months back. The cabin filter feels dry. Can't feel any moisture under the glovebox either. The worst leak was when I bought the car in 2014. I never realised, but it was blowing water right across the dash. Water dripping off the fuse box onto my shoe was when I realised. Windscreen is my bet.....

  6. the engines the part im most looking forward too, the rest of it will be fun and being used to heavy engineering any big job on a car seems like a minor inconvenience to me lol, changing a clutch doesnt seem too daunting when youve spent weeks changing a crank at sea haha

  7. all you need is the calipers and carriers mate, just gotta grind off a lip on the inside of the carrier for the disc clearance. I know because I have done this set up on mine

  9. the fan motor is on the passenger side right all the way over towards the door. Just take the glovebox out and its the big round thing when you look up from underneath. I had to take the bit of trim from the left of the footwell off to get the motor out but its handy enough. Mine was full to the brim with leaves and even some stones!
