  1. Alright peeps, got a night mare on my hands at the mo with my front near side brake, the caliper was allowing pressure to be applied but not release it! Which inturn super heated my disc and put it all out of shape with high hot spots all over it, so had the discs skimmed and got a new caliper and pads (brembo) and it seemed better but its started again so took the caliper off tried to push the piston back but it wouldnt budge, cracked the bleed nipple and it flew back, so im 90% sure its the hose now, My question is tho where can i get a standard hose from? Dont want to pay braided prices, The front hoses are what seems in 3 sections? Can these be split? Any help is greatly appreciated, as im at the end of my teather with this car
  2. ^^^ agree with the above. I would throw that short ram in the bin and put the standard box back on with a pannel filter in, put the standard fpr back on also as you dont need one unless you going boost or have 230bhp or more iirc, I did a test with cone filters vs standard box with pannel filter in, on a certain stretch of road from stop to a gateway with long arm filter on i could get 110mph, with short ram little over a ton! With standard box with cold air feed i am getting 115-120! This is using launch control to make the test as fair as poss!
  3. That is brill!! These are the mods i like, built not bought! Realy realy like this M! Top work!
  4. Thats gotta be it, just past its day, cars coming off the road soon any way as it needs a bit of work,Thanks for your advice any way mate,
  5. Did all the above yesterday mate thats why im confused, internaly they look brand spanking new, the caliper is slow at working too, so when i brake it shimmers to the right then straightens up if that makes sence? Pads move nice and slick in the carrier, sliders are nice and free on carrier, pistons mint, inside caliper is mint, but the piston feels tight in the caliper, and the fluid doesnt look the worst.
  6. Hi all, im interested to know if anyone else has had this problem before, My front near side caliper keeps sticking on after applying the brakes, i took the piston out the caliper yesterday and the isnt any thing obviously wrong apart from it seems to tight? It doesnt run in and out as free as it should, the rubber is fine no splits or any damage. ???
  7. Had the p72 in for a couple of months now, worth its weight in gold! Highly recommended! In just changed the chip in it and thats why im getting this code. Check my project thread out.
  8. Bang on thanks for the link! didnt even give homenetcs a thought!! cheers guys. 1"£££$££"!!
  9. could some one just double check this for me please? im running an P72 so its obd1 now when i check the codes its throwing two long flashes, these codes are stored as the engine management light is NOT on when the engine is running. could some one in the know please check this video and confirm the code for me, i think that it is code 20 electrical load sensor-(what ever that is) http://s759.photobucket.com/albums/xx23 ... af4969.mp4 cheers steve
  10. Does any one kno if a standard steering wheel from a crx del sol will fit straight on to the MB? My standard one has had it and is now an eye saw but i just want some thing dirt cheap.
  11. X2 what car is the brace for?
  12. they are pretty boat like, depends what filter it had on mine bogs down big time with a cone filter on! the biggest thing though is who owned the car before, i.e there driving style, ive had many cars that have been realy tight due to previous owners driving style, and have losened up over time.
  13. bin the standard ecu and get a P72 ecu fired in!
  14. Excellant i knew about the burner and that but i was told id have to have a subscription to crome which is costly, rich do u kno if the free download will allow add ons to the map ie launch control and shift light? Cheers steve
  15. Cheers for that rich, in regards to the launch control and changing the rpm do you have to have a subscription to have the crome program on your comp? I want to be able to change it when i wanted within reason as if it was set to 4k for arguments sake it might be spot on for one track, but on another it might bog down or spin up. Steve
  16. have you checked all the wheels are tight? or is the steering wheel its self moving from side to side?
  17. Been thinking about launch control for a bit NOw and one thing that bugs me is if its programded onto the ecu its activated by being stationary or under a certain speed, is the any way of wireing this to a switch on the dash??? As id prefere that, And another one we all know that the vtis a thirsty b****r at times so could two maps be run on two ecus to switch from eco to "race" while on the move as opposed to swapping ecus? Bit of a long shot but Surly its possible.
  18. Thats a proper tuck! I think tucks are only worth while if ur gonna go this far!
  19. Realy want to do this mod but the previous prat who owned my car riveted the front bumper on so need to drill them all out!
  20. X2 that box looks utter crap! I know you say you have binned it but ad find another standard one, ive got standard box with k&n pannel filter and get more power with that than a short or long arm filter!
  21. X2 that box looks utter crap! I know you say you have binned it but ad find another standard one, ive got standard box with k&n pannel filter and get more power with that than a short or long arm filter!
  22. You will need to do two sets of pin bridges to enable it to work properly, one for the vtec and one for the iabs, i also think it will be limited to 115mph too!
