Nice 9-5 mate I love SAABS, especially the classic 900 and 9000's. My oleman had 2 Saab 9000 Turbo's. The 1st one was a 1986 9000 CS 2 litre, 280hp high pressure turbo and chipped ECU (Can't remember what stage) and that thing throws you in the seat in every gear! The traction control was useless as the wheels just keeps spinning And the 2nd was a 9000 Anniversary 2.3 low pressure turbo, 150hp. That was more of a cruiser but still bloody fast! The 9000's are quite hard to come by now so I would like a 9-5 one day

We'll have to wait and see I fancy some new alloys for my M so I could put the TSW's on the Concerto to give it a smile
-

Wow Wish I seen this project thread when posted as I don't usually look on other project cars. That is one stunning EG and its good to see her running. Hope you sort out the Vtec soon. Can't be Vtecless in a Honda
-
Holy crap! Think I might give the £13 short shift a miss and go for something else
-
Ye I have made a thread for the Concerto but I never got round to taking pics or keeping track on it. I inherited the car from my Granfather who had it for 24 years! I still haven't dug the car out of his garage yet, which sat in there for like 9 years.. I have got some plans for her but I don't know whether to keep it standard and turn it mint condition or build it for track day. I know my Grandad will hate me turning the car into something else
-
Ye I see what you mean.. and that link kind of made me laugh The short shifter only cost something like 13 quid. Or I could get a nice red one for 25 quid. If I don't like the shifter I could put it on my Honda Concerto (new project coming soon)
-
I use my car everyday for work and the gears can be a bit stiff when cold, so having a short shifter is not going to help I will buy one anyway as they don't cost much
-
Looking very nice Like the nuts too
-
I was looking at those dials on Ebay earlier! I love the looks of them but there a bit pricey for me.. They look very bright too For the bad news, that just sucks. Those jacks are just pure s**te..

The stickers look nicely done mate And I have the same JDM sticker in the same place, in the top corner of the windscreen

What spark plugs and HT leads do you recommend?
vtec2011 replied to vtec2011's topic in Engine & Chassis
Thanks for the comments lads I might go for the Denso's, something different as I always replace spark plugs for NGK's. And I ordered a new dizzy cap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLEAR-TRANSPA ... 2ec0bc2099 Mine looked pretty nackered... -
I checked the spark plugs today and could do with new ones. I was going to go for the usual NGK's but I could upgrade to better ones whilst I'm at it Any noticible difference with the better ones like NGK Iridium or the Denso's? I'm not so bothered with the HT leads for now but do they make a difference going to 8mm Magnecor leads? Is it really worth it? Thanks for reading and thanks in advance..

I have found one for 13 quid buy it now on Ebay but like you said cheap ones can break.. And I see it a lot over the internet. But then its all down to how you drive it

- Honda Civic 5 door hatch
- Vtec

I would go with red, I love multispoke wheels in red or white, especially on a black car
-
Sounds good.. does it feel more precise when changing gears? Because mine is floppy That is really why I want one and wondering if it will feel more stable. And if I don't like it I can obviously put the original back on. WinWin

I haven't done anything to the M for a while now apart from general maintenance. Fit new brake pads on front and rear today. They are only Apec pads for now but I will replace the disc and pads for something fancier one day (maybe grooved/drilled disc with Mintex pads). Just wondering have anybody used a short shifter on our M's before? I saw a couple quite cheap on Ebay, like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Short-S ... 35c54b48c2 Do they make a big difference and is it worth getting one? Thanks
-
I got a set too but I'm all way at the bottom of UK (Cornwall)
-
Ye I seen Tom on here calls it Panda light mod i think that should be the official name for that mod now Ye it should be!

That sounds well nice! Seriously need to upgrade my exhaust system With tax that is mental, 220 quid a year?! My 1.5 Civic is 1997 and it only cost £135 a year..
