I wasn't sure about the plate too... Oh well it don't cost me anything to replace so I will make a new one tomorrow. With Civic5 template on it
-
Here's a better pic of my 'M' in the sun Is it me or my car doesn't look right? Maybe because of the skinny wheels or the number plate?
-
Uhh... I don't know how I done that to be honest I basically pushed the bottom of the headlight and then it popped off. It wasn't easy putting the new headlights in though. Would be better off removing the bumper haha
-
I kind of cheated because I had a air ratchet. I managed to get my arm in there by removing the fog blank and removing the bottom screw blind folded
-
I wasn't meant to upload the last picture as they are the original headlights, but oh well..
-
YES! I have finally managed to fit the modded headlights today (without removing the bumper) and this has to be the best mod I have done, so far.. I will get a better picture tomorrow in the daylight Removing the orange enemy..

Gutted.. Oh well, hopefully it will go to a new home who will take a good care of her. And good luck

I need a beaks bar! That looks so cool.. Does it have to be a certain bar to fit your MB or can other Civics (EG's or EK's) fit straight on?- 3,767 replies

I have just been looking through your whole thread My favorite mods of yours are the fogs and alloys, looks perfect! How much did you lower your car? I don't want to go too low for mine but yours looks just right
-
Engines LOVE oil changes.. Especially Honda's I change mine every 6 or 8000 miles

Mr Brown's Project MB3- Front End Repair Underway
vtec2011 replied to Mr Brown's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
I actually like it! I would put a black strip going from front to back at the bottom of the doors, and have a white VTEC sticker over the black stripe -
Ye that's true.. But then the cat isn't really visible as its tucked away in front of the engine, so I might get away with it
-
That's what I really love about my M.. I can get a good 45mpg on the run (I use to get more mpg with the original gearbox) And seriously! Your car passed the MOT without the cat?! Because I got a de-cat pipe but not sure whether I should fit it because of MOT. You got me thinking now..
-
Ye you can barely feel vtec on SOHC and doesn't sound nowhere near as the true vtec on DOHC.. But it does have that nice little subtle note when booting it haha. Sounds like the valves open up more somewhere around 4000rpm on mine
-
Yep its still a original 1.5 vtec-e.. Its got a K&N 57i cone air filter with a long cold air induction pipe. The engine done 109,000 miles and do an oil change every 6000 miles. I want to get it to 150,000 miles or more and then maybe do an engine rebuild
-
Haha thanks mate! Since I fitted the D16 gearbox the engine feels like its revving more freely, no more struggling going up hills You can almost hear the vtec crossover around 4500rpm which is surprising for a SOHC
-
Ye I have seen it done a few times on here before.. They do look pure awesome when they are done right. It looks like an difficult mod to do but we'll see soon

I had time off work today so thought I could go to my favorite place.. "The Scrappy!" I found a Civic VTi Aerodeck in silver! (Nearly killed me to look at it) There was soo many people desperately trying to get stuff off it (Like seagulls in a dump) And somebody already had the engine. It was actually really funny watching them when I was waiting to get my hands on it I managed to get the headlights off and side repeaters which cost 20 quid for the lot, not bad.. Hopefully over the weekend I'm getting the half leather seats and door cards (If its still there) I will be modifying these headlights, spray the surrounds black, maybe do something different to them (Projectors?) And the side repeaters, even though I already got clear repeaters on my M, these are a lot cleaner
-
You got a nice solid looking M, like the color too.. 70,000 miles for that price? BARGAIN
-
That is the main reason why I'm not keen on it, I could stick 2 Honda badges on each side of the number plate with cheap led's to fill the gap. Classy...
-
I know how you feel when selling your pride and enjoy.. The worst part is seeing the new owner driving it away I had a Vauxhall Nova GTE as a project car before I had my Civic (and before I passed my test) but I knew the Nova wouldn't suit my needs and it cost a bomb on insurance. I didn't class the Nova as my 1st car as I never got on the road with it..
