Mr Brown's Project MB3- Front End Repair Underway
Mr Brown replied to Mr Brown's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Cheers guys i suspect my friend was correct when he said they probably saw me pull up and the scum wanted it for their car.. Anyway update: Got this today from my mechanic/rover breaker £5.00 Lovely.. A Bit Of A Clean Later So off to work fitting it.... Removed door card and was told by my mechanic it is possible to fit without removing the main window so this is how i did it... Pictures are after removing but make it clearer to see how to Remove Window Winder.. Pic shows clip you need to shift to pull it off You Need A Medium Sized Cross Head Screwdriver Then The Door Handle A Smaller Cross Head Screwdriver And Then Slide To The Left Carefully Here You See How It Was Mounted And The Rear Of The Handle Showing The Clips Undo The Two 10mm Bolts To Release The Centre Bar Pull Back The Rubber Seal At Top To Reveal Hiiden 8mm Nut Now Push Centre Bar All The Way To Bottom Of Door (its tight but it does go) Bottom Of Centre Bar Now push The Weather Strip As Indicated In Pic Or Centre Bar Will Still Be In The Way (be gentle not to break the clips i did not thankfully) Then pull out old broken window and ding it LOL It is awkward to get the new one in requires a bit of fiddling and then pulling the rubber over the inside part of the door but it does go I Would Suggest You Heat The Rubber Seal Of The New Window With A Hair Dryer Before Fitting. (i did not as it was raining and i needed to do it in a hurry so i messed my rubber up visually a little bit but still water tight) Ensure that the centre bar is still on the window inside the door and facing the correct way at the top when fitting new window Then refit window seal at top slide the centre bar back up into place and refit in reverse.. And You Get This Look At The Mess Poor Little Car Twenty Mins Later However Although this method worked and had i used a hairdryer i prob would not of made the inside rubber look untidy if you have time i would remove the main window and then it just slides into place -

Went to my friends after work as i do every sunday and at 1:10am i leave and give him a lift to work. Got to car found this And look the remains of the poor Civc5 sticker And the reason they broke in thats all they were after my led interior light FFS!!!! i had my bosses monitor behind the drivers seat but they did not see it. It appears they broke the window opened her and swithched the light off did not break cover removing it, ripped it off as they are held by a sticky pad only and even unplugged it so at least no damage to repair their, with no interior light where it was parked it was pitch black inside her so they did not notice monitor they popped the back seat forward looking for sub prob and went through glove box and drop down by drivers door. These are the kind of people we are dealing with they took nothing from glove box as it is just envelopes and a deodorant (scum dont need either of those) and the drop down bit they took a lighter and i had my house keys in their which they nabbed as well but they left the hand sanitiser (again scum has no need for that) and in the drivers visor i had a pen which they took (i doubt they can write and prob will use it to sniff lines as it was a flash pen) But the stereo was still their with my pen drive still sticking out of it and the 6X9's are still their they only did it for the cheap ebay led light.. So i shall be ordering a new one soon as i get the window changed -

My interior light did that a few times i discovered it was due to rain, each time it happened to me i had the sunroof on tilt and it was raining. since then i make sure not to have it like this and it has not happened again so it is due to water shorting the circuit. So maybe you have water leaking through the sunroof (if you have one that is of course) -
but im a carpet fitter

They are not honda ones but are tailored fit for our car, will update with details once i get them and can confirm they are any good...

Can anybody point me to where i can buy these from. I know we have the group buy deal and i have tried to buy from them when they posted that we could buy them i said i wanted two sets and it took eleven days for them to reply, he requested paypal details etc but when i try to send a PM it says they can not recieve any PM's and another five or six days have past and our MB6 does not even have a set and the MB3 has drivers side missing and my carpets are getting DESTROYED..now its raining all the time I even jumped on john banks honda website and can not find any links to anything parts wise pre 2008.. Please tell me somewhere else i can buy them from as im not exactly patient and can't be bothered with this sort of thing i just want to buy them NOW as i have the money waiting
