I really wanna know what it is! I have a feeling it's coilovers Especially as you're tracking at Mimms? Oh well we'll see! Such a clean car man, I MIGHT attempt speakers today, but I've been saying this for 2 weeks since I've had the speakers sitting downstairs :lol; What was the toughest part of the install btw? Never done speakers on anything other than a VW before! Also I take it I can't use the adaptors I bought as I have to wire the speakers into the crossover?
-
Didn't do my speakers in the end, got back from work, looked outside and was like.. do I really wanna go out there and remove door panels only for it to start raining? Haha! Can't wait for this car to make mine look crap next weekend! Nah it's pretty cool how at Mimms we'll have a black preface and a cosmic grey face EP3 on stand The EP3 takeover has begun, first Mimms, next, the world!
-
Apparently they don't offer that much of a drop over standard, well 25mm front, 20mm rear, but tbh I'm not going for looks I'm going for usability, plus it'd sharpen the handling a lot. I had TEIN S-techs on my old starlet GT turbo and even though it was a pig of a car to drive it did corner very flat, not that the EP3 with a JDM RARB has much body roll issues anyway
-
STYLISH SPEC, DRESS UP MASTER YES. Such JDM springs, wow. Worth the money cause it came with a pair of TEIN stickers Hopefully fitting them this weekend
-
The TEINs are here! Bring on the weekend! @Krzys when you revealing your mod?

Roj only moved out of town so his workers could keep distributing whilst he gets that re-up prof. You're so lucky my area is very very safe or someone would've broken into your car seeing those £50 note tissues LOL

Looks sweet! Glad the adaptors help, it's amazing what a difference speakers can make isn't it? I plan to tackle mine today after work but it's the first time doing component speakers so I have no idea how to do the crossovers... The only crossover I know is the one at 5800rpm
-
I think Roj got the EP3 bug, hard, or atleast the K20 one Haha, they got on well! And yeah @Krzys the TEINs should arrive today so may be a weekend thing not sure, want them to settle a little bit before Mimms!

Sooo, on Friday evening @Roj came over to mine for the weekend, for a few jobs on the car, valve clearances and most importantly - fitting his MeisterR coilovers. Left the car overnight at work so it would be stone cold (Steve Austin) for the clearances to be done, then drove up there the next day to get the job done! Here's a pic at somewhere familiar for me (work ) getting the clearances done: Made it back to mine after a nice drive back, thing pulls way harder now, pretty quick car his MB6 is Took a pic with my filthy EP3: Started the coilovers, drivers side rear first and f**king hell, rear LCA bolt and ABS line bolts were seized as f**k. Took 3hrs to do the drivers side rear and then darkness fell as we finished the drivers side front. Well deserved picture after the hassle of the drivers side rear: Then that night I took a pic of my car as well as a couple of Rojs that I'll put in his thread. Plate lights and HIDs look awesome: The next morning we woke up and took some pictures of Rojs car with just the drivers side done, some photowhoring: And then his coilovers were done, more photowhoring! Excuse the filthyness.. That's all from this weekend! Ordered the TEINs as mentioned above, they should arrive tomorrow, can't wait to get them on, I just want lows!

Looks sick I definitely need to invest in this fusso that everyone is talking about! Sounds sweet and the dash trims came out really nice and I know that once you work your magic with the DA it'll come out spot on! Happy days
-
@Roj LOL, but seriously say what you thought of it and I ordered the TEINs today you know this!
-
This was a mission. One side done. LCA bolts are annoying. Looks sick so far though!

Soo... @Roj drove this today.
-
Moved his MB6, MB6s feel weird after EP3s, cars with gearsticks in normal places feels weird, nice to drive though. Can see the appeal of B series. Massive steering wheel and like 50 turns lock to lock though.

Erm, when I got the clutch changed lets just say I started doing 1st to 2nd shifts a lot more.. vigorously? And because rainsports have so much grip, the tyres don't allow it to chirp 2nd gear like an MB6 does, more like leap into the next gear with traction, all the stress had cracked the gearbox mount and the inner mounting bush had split.. Oops. Gearshifts do feel a lot better now as the mount and bush were the original ones so again, on 107k. And yeah, slowly fixing everything up on it to be better than it's ever been. I want it to be the very best like no one ever was. Exhausts done, clutch done, airbox done, valve clearances done, mounts done, rad done, driveshafts done. Basically no mechanical area has been left untouched now haha!
-
Done the gearbox mount today, sorted, have to remove fan to gain access to the third bolt though so that's a top tip, not having A/C made this job 1000x easier. Done the rocker cover gasket kit with new spark plug tubes and washers.. and changed the spark plugs finally. But the main thing, did the valve clearances and WOW. 1. They were quite loose as Honda recommends them doing every 75k and mine's at 107k and had never been done. 2. The car now feels A LOT more responsive and 'alive', the pull through the powerband is way smoother and it sounds better. 3. VTEC KICKS IN HARDER YO - Definitely more noticable top end power, that 25-30mph pull against traffic is critical in London.
-
Can't wait. Now my Honda is at CRITICAL TUNE, we shall race the Kanjo and the M-1-gan. Then turn the Playstation off and get into our Hondas.

Mate hes buying a double DIN DVD headunit as we speak. -
Still not as much as an EK though but a fairly good amount of aftermarket support for a UK civic I agree! Yeah the cool sticker that comes with them justifies most of the asking price tbh
-
It's so high up did you have to use a ladder to apply the sticker on the rear bumper?
