This is a very good write up of how to apply heat wrap http://www.exhaustwrap.co.uk/files/2012/06/Installing-Thermal-Velocity-Exhaust-Wrap.pdf The last point says: 9. Consider spraying the exhaust wrap with a VHT ( High Temperature Silicone Spray) like Hycote® VHTrange to seal and provide a coating to protect against the elements and improve the life of the wrap. So I think I will be spraying it VHT Blue also so that it stays Blue
I like all three pics! Gold calipers would look good I had that colour green on my golf (sorry for swearing) and done them gold,,looked ten times better
I'd driven 500 miles (and I'll drive 500 more ) but also went to Spalding and back as a passenger which is another 120ish miles plus the late nights, quiet one planned next weekend!Where you off to tomorrow then?
Good shout Tom, but Im going to return the favour and put forward Nicks gorgeous VTIS. Cant believe you never won COTM Simple and clean, lovely stance, gleaming pirates black paintwork and nearly new interior http://civic5.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2632-my-vti-s-new-interior/
+2 on the plugs- use the correct oem NGK plugs. Honda recommend the irridiums for longer life, but only worth it if you can find them cheap. They will not be giving any power increase over standard. Don't know how long the Denso last but should be about 10 years going by the cost! As Emil says best way to a bit more power is either a good panel filter (minimal difference) or integra setup (smoother airflow). Don't put bits of heatsoak prone sh!tty metal tube in there or massive filters there is only so much the TB can cope with. Then lose the catifold for a normal 4-2-1 then get a good custom system built with a sport cat in it. The gearbox is the thing that will make the most difference- if you don't do many motorway miles the best UK source would probably be from an MA8. A really good service including the gear oil may do more than a lot of modding will of course.

I'd a few friends run lpg with no hassles, but they were all VAG engined. If you've heard bad reports then probably best to avoid I do remember reading once though that all Subarus and Jag V6s are particularly susceptible to VSR problems as well as some Hondas and Fords.
I also had a fog light out and decided to take both off with the intention of sanding and repainting them and replacing the screws with stainless steel ones. A couple of really annoying rusted screws and bolts later and I've them opened and cleaned of crystallised gunk. Can anyone tell me though are these original Honda ones or are they aftermarket? Edit: From looking around I think they're aftermarket so maybe not worth restoring.
Following some severe pressure from a certain member on here I changed my clocks to 24hr Also my rear badge was tatty and crooked looking so I bought a new copy and fitted it Old New
Its just a OEM 3 piece clutch kit, as I don't see the point in putting a sports paddle clutch in as I'm going to swap the engine in the near future. I've put some mtf in her today and went for a drive, the clutch bites great and the gears select perfect. I can definatly notice a big difference on pull off and general driving so my old clutch could have went at any point lol
