  1. Wow it's amazing how far a thread can progress in a few hours of not being on! Electric pffft it's all a crock of shit. False advertising and leading people into a false sense of security. As has been said, the emissions just to get them on the road is ridiculous. Then there's the pollution that's going to be created in making the infastructure to support them country wide. Oh and did I mention that the 'clean' electric they use to fill it up is 88.6% produced from fossil or unrenewable energy anyway.

  3. WTF are you on about chief hat? That's perfectly reasonable English, I'll break it down for you. A question was asked: "Dose anyone know if you can get such a thing as uprated trailing arms" To which I replied: "I don't think so" (as in; I don't think there is such a thing) comma "I've not seen them" (as in; I have not seen any of those of which you speak). There's a perfectly clear comma in the middle thus dismissing any notion of double negatives. Now roll yourself a fat one and chill out.

  4. Cheers dude! I'm just impressed I managed to do it on my own! Trying to arrange fetching the other set of wheels I want! Then that's the "winter" and "show" sets bought and I can then sell the 15's! Both sets will be getting colour changes but the "show" set are in a good way and can go straight on as they are to help me out!

  5. Scared of bubbles maybe?? Anyway. The thermal barrier gasket things I have. The throttle one didn't fit. So I made a stencil of my throttle and sent it off. Finally came back today. Fits perfect! Pheeeww. My stencil was ropey so pretty chuffed it came out right. Anyway gonna book a day off next week for intake etc. Then again the next week. Then some mapping action very soon. Promise some progress next week!!

  10. I'm not having a go mate, honestly. Just think it's all a massive con. And I bet that BMW set them back what, £25k plus??The solar panels however, yeah I get that idea and in their case it's a win win for them for sure. Can totally understand their decision. You say the BMW plant is powered by wind, you mean the oxford plant? That's all well n good, but the panel production plant in Swindon isn't lol. And the lorries that drive the parts too n fro ... I'd love to know if BMW and other electric cars makers, have produced a detailed analysis of how much 'bad' energy is used in the production and manufacturing and how long the electric car would have to run compared to an internal combustion engined car to make a difference. Oh and an important part I forgot, what about all the line workers farting all day while working!? I was one of them (in both honda & BMW) that's enough methane to make a rugby pitch size hole in the ozone every shift! Ha

  11. Yeah what people see in action and behind closed doors are two completely different things, if people knew the costs of producing, running and disposing of say a Toyota Prius they'd sooner run my 80's Accord! Meh, been to sleep since then! Didn't realise it was that long ago!

  16. So many car makers now have a lineup of models of different sized clones of the same shape. It's great to see Honda release something that looks nothing like anything else. I wasn't so keen on the original testing pics, but if it comes out looking like that I'd actually seriously consider buying new. ( btw. oi moderators. There's already a thread on this )

  18. And we're in! what an effort but i have moved in! the van was so handy despite being a reno traffic. The garage shed extension is actually bigger than i remember but bad news theres damp everywhere! all the main beams i can see are soaked, once i rip the total DIY bodgy cealing he put in there i can see the damage but i rekon its the roof nails. Using the pieces of chip board from the old wardrobe i will make a bench with draws. Getting there now, i dont think ill find the time to do my wheels this week lol.

  19. Sounds good except for the fact the rears are already too low so if he cuts a coil off the front tyres are going to lose contact with the road, Maybe one off the front.

  21. Shes nearly there, very close! I have seen a few lowered EG springs on MB's but not standard EG springs on MB's. So I will give this a try, or might be easier getting MB lowering springs I guess...

  34. Demon tweeks do them eBay has a s**t load too. If you search exhaust reducer they will come up. I used a 50 mm to a 68 mm, they come in so many sizes that you modify to suit. Good luck
    1 point
  35. Thanks! The exhaust hangers are exactly the same and line up with the MB, but the inlet pipe doesn't quite line up with the MB center exhaust pipe. This is because where it joins, the flange doesn't line up. So what I had to do is cut the flange to line it up with the MG ZS exhaust inlet pipe. Then I used a exhaust clamp to connect the flange again and using a bit of exhaust paste. That's how I done mine! Another option, you can cut both flanges and slide a slightly larger pipe over both pipes (the MG ZS pipe and MB center pipe) and use 2 exhaust clamps or weld it all together! Hope that helps I was thinking about one of those universal lips or a Laguna lip, but I want to do it properly using Honda OEM kit Cheers! Na a mate of mine resprayed it. He will be having my car for a week once I fit the springs. I will be having the bumper splitters and trims colour coded
