I doubt you'd be able to fit DC5/EP3 hubs, especially at the rear as they are totally different setup - hence why you can't find anything. You can fit EK9/DC2 hubs all around which does convert you to 5x114.3 PCD and the larger wheel bearings at the front as I've done it to my MC2. I also switched drive shafts, but I believe you can just switch the outer ends and keep your original shaft. Rear fitting on mine3 points

I sold this. for this which only lasted or a couple of months, i then bought this I got it cleaned up and put a set of Rays on it i had in the garage with the intentions of refurbing the oem wheels. I had some on accord sport wheels that i refurbed just before christmas last year. At that time this was the spec Atr recaros B18c4 head rebult with Itr valves and cams rolling roaded at 191bhp 4-2-1 manifold Mongoose exhaust with sports cat Whales p***s intake Ngk plug leads Aircon removed Usdm rocker cover Next thing to do is to fit the five stud setup. Ive got them stripped down for powder coating. Five stud fitted Had to replace the fuel tank so went nuts with the stone chip. That will do for tonight Ill update more tomorrow. Cheers2 points

Nice build I just posted up asking about a 5 stud swap and you've answered my question! Nice one2 points

Is this still not done yet? Finger. Out. This should be one of the nicest MB6s around once it's done. Looking at that rust doesn't inspire much confidence in what sort of rust might be lurking under mine, especially with it having lived its life in the wilds of Scotland lol2 points

Epic plans man .. Timescale? And will you raise it if your going forged? Or air it? I think the only reason you've not killed it yet is because it doesn't go very fast2 points

Speaking of which.. I have adjusted the valve clearance today. I actually cannot believe how smooth it's now running. I now see what you mean @Grant ! Also bought some nice bits and pieces, pics will be up tomorrow I think were starting to build a small Honda Club. There is actually more of us with something like 8 Civic's2 points

Thanks for the comments fellas. it shouldn't be it's still out lol. I never took any lol the I took the aerial out and washer jet out and welded it up its filled and UN primer, I'll get a pic for you tomorrow. no mate long old build slowly but surely lol I'm actually working on a wee sri corsa to drive while this is being done. if your doing it don't used jdm your shafts will be too small used UK dc2, I wouldn't do it if I was you it's only because mine where £250 with wheels.1 point

Will hopefully be boosted by March/April, including fitment of the megasquirt ECU and Z6 head. At that point, it'll then be however long it takes to save monies for all the forged components, looking at £1500+ for everything to forge the D16Z6. And yes, it'll be raised when its running decent power, perhaps on air. Matt1 point

It's not going anywhere for a while! Only just started to test fit the new wheels over the big brakes and 225/45 tyres under the arches1 point

Right where was I now that every thing is uploaded to a decent image host. These photos my not be in the right order ive been doing this over the last year. After i got the five stud done i drove it round to my mates body shop to get the roof painted as it was rusting see pics So we pulled the window out and found this and this, thats it cleaned up but it was badly rusted so then this had to happed to get those rusty bits sorted, you can see the rust at the bottom corner of the window. Patched up zink primer then black primer might have used some isopon cant remember its that long ago. while the front end was in bits I wire wheeled the rust and treated it and stone chipped the life out on it. Sold a few things i wasnt using like my 1/5 hpi baja I never had time to use it and when I did the kids where with me and didnt like it. But they made way for these And on to cleaning the rear arches and fitting coilovers That ill do for tonight lol more to come.1 point

Purchased some clear bathroom sealant. Should do the job nicely! I did notice this suspect repair when I got home. Appears to be the same both sides. If you look closely, you can see fingerprints. Source of the leak?1 point

Thought I'd posted on this before but must have failed. I've got a final drive out of a dc2 type r in my s9, and a fifth gear set from an integra ls which is the longest 5th for the b series... Have a spy at my project1 point

Yes it will have a turbo attached to it eventually, going to spend a year or so building it up fully forged ready for big power. And yes Grant, D16Z6. Matt1 point

Sunroof drains were clear, gave them a good blast with air just to be sure. Pulled the roof liner down a little and I could see moisture and dangling bits of sealant. Pics aren't great I'm afraid! Off to Wickes later to get some bathroom sealant1 point

As i'm honored this year to be in the Car of the Year vote, i thought i'd sum up all the mods i've done and what this deck is all about. You can see my current winter look from the post above, here are a few pics of how she looks like when it's a bit warmer: r: More photos on page 5. Some GoPro track video from last summer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY7qKdVAFSY And some older incar-footage from 2011: This is what i said back in 2009 in my first post here in Civic5: "It wasn't in the best possible condition when i got it and still needs lots of work, but slowly and surely it's starting to turn into what i hope one day will be the lowest, fastest and baddest Aerodeck in Finland." Now over 4 years later "slowly and surely" still apply , but it's come quite a way. My philosphy has been to upgrade parts instead of just replacing them, with the goal of eventually improving the car all round. I guess i want the best of all worlds so a bit of stance, a bit of race and a bit of ICE has been my recipe. Here's the current spec/mod list: Engine bay and transmission B18C4 TSS tuning intake kit Optima Yellowtop battery NGK iridium spark plugs Exedy Stage 1 clutch ITR flywheel and ARP bolts Suspension H&R coiloverkit TSS tuning (Blox) front camber kit Powerflex bushes (front) Brakes Stock pads and calipers (painted red) DOT 5.1 brake fluid Wheels and tires Summer: 17 x 7.5 / 17 x 8.5 Volk Evo 3's with 195/40 Falken ZE912 Track: 15 x 6.5 League 273's with 195/50 Toyo Proxes R888 Winter: 15 x 7 Rials with 195/55 Continental ContiVikingContact 3 studless winter tires Exterior Full VTI-S lip kit Fully de-badged De-chromed headlights Osram Nightbreaker bulbs Headlight washer delete Custom mesh grille Tinted windows Clear repeaters Short antenna Aero wipers White license plate screw caps Interior Handmade black floor mats with red lining Moman plasma dials (with realistic top speed!) Tenzo-R shift knob Mugen-style pedals Custom steel foot rest cover Painted red h-emblem on steering wheel Aerodeck-badge on front passenger side Audio Pioneer DEH-3200UB head unit Front: JBL680C speakers, tweeters and crossovers + Silent Coat inside the doors Rear: Pioneer TS-G1312i coaxial speakers There's still plenty more to come, i'm definitely planning on keeping this one. Needless to say Civic5 has been an invaluable site for support on this build so thanks to everyone who's helped or commented along the way. Don't forget to check out all the other COTY-nominees here and may the best M-civic win!1 point
