Nice build mate! Good power figures too when I build my b18 back up I'd like to go for the teg cams and get it live mapped with a p28. Any more plans?1 point

Hello mate! Good to see you're on here I absolutely love this car purely because of the colour and you put in some good effort on this beauty. Bet she goes like stink the way it's been setup1 point

Tis a nice motor and it's feckin huge! Automatic (I think they all are apart from the Toyota Aristo) but I cannot fault them. What's the insurance like on the beemer @Roj? Because for me to insure a beemer is ridicules!!1 point

Got the wheels to fit! Nothing abit of sanding with a dremel sorted . Heres rough pic will get one when shes cleeeeeeean. This is what my work day consisted of... all work done so here is one of my whips1 point

Yeah I'd feel like an absolute mug if I missed out on that kind of exhaust at that price, like I wouldn't be able to live with myself, shudder in my sleep and all sorts. Was a proper bargain, don't know if you'll come across another for the same price, must be eating at you inside huh? Isn't it Andy? I love this car.1 point

The light is probably blown. It's meant to come on 2 litres from empty. My MB3's fuel light never came on and I've actually ran it bone dry before. The one in the MB6 comes on on the last notch before the actual empty mark.1 point

Oh yes. The autobox is actually good enough to kickdown when you need it so it's actually really nice. The wheels are what drew me to it in the first place. I love them. I couldn't sell the MB6 for a 328i, as much as I love my BM, I actually still prefer my MB! Good shout on the Lexus though, is he going to run silly power with it?1 point

Thanks dude..I have fitted the front seats but I have got a problem with rear seats..I got small hooks in my car for the rear seats but the full leather come with big hooks so I need to figure out how to take that plastic cover off to get to the hooks.1 point

I have got a couple of sets of wheels..I will try selling them both and see if I can get enough money together to buy a decent set for the deck1 point

Car has hit 172'000 miles today so a full service is due. Not sure if there's any point though seeing as another engine will be dropped in sometime this year. Or should I just go ahead with a service and see if I can get it to 200'000 mile? Gave her a good wash today and then it pi$$ed down....1 point

Dude you should contact Rochford Tyres / Alloywheels.com. They got loads of Lenso, and atleast used to have many 114 options (including rs5) i used to drool over their website a lot, bought my League winter wheels from there as well. I'd look the Rs5 up for you but for some reason their site's not working properly at the moment but check them out!1 point

Dave , your right it's laziness and no pride,i was taught to do everyones car as if it were your own(father),bodyshops and garages are all about targets so quality goes right out the window,i have also done painting before and bodywork on my sons cars(because he thinks he is a rally driver)ie sils, wings, bonnets, skirts, front ends, chassis legs and everything in between lol,if my father was alive I would trust him too paint ruby,he was a old school master of spraying and bodywork and what I would call a real perfectionist, but I don't have the time or facility to do it myself and as I don't do it often enough I would probably not meet my standards lol1 point
-
See thats the key! There are hardly any old school spray painters left now, and most are the kind who because the car isn't theirs, they don't actually care that much how it turns out. Old school sprayers tend to take a pride in their work, almost as if it's a work of art and they're putting their name to it. So they take care (and time) on all aspects of the job, from the initial preperation work, to the masking it up properly, to the final painting.1 point

I felt sick seeing roxy like that Dave ,the thing is with new style cars, they are designed to look worse in an accident than they acctually are,but as long as the engine is intact then it's usually ok,but as parts men go,in the last 28years I have been in the trade I have only met three that are what I would call good and I hate to say this but Ali is one of them1 point
