  3. Yep, it might beat you away from the lights but you'll catch it quick enough as the driver stops to look for a powerpoint.

  4. I've not really had much to update on the MB3. It's still being my reliable (to a degree) workhorse, helping me keep people safe from evil extension cables. I've ordered some stickers for it to hopefully finish the rear window. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251387070453?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250870727727?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250820114346?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648 I'll get pictures once they're all on. Should look sweet.

  5. I took a couple more photos last night. The ITR air box in it's current placement. The rocker cover is just an embarrassment but further down the to-do list right now. My windscreen sealing As long as it stays dry now I can clean up that damp stain with upholstery cleaner. Nice clean plates and beading

  6. And we're in! what an effort but i have moved in! the van was so handy despite being a reno traffic. The garage shed extension is actually bigger than i remember but bad news theres damp everywhere! all the main beams i can see are soaked, once i rip the total DIY bodgy cealing he put in there i can see the damage but i rekon its the roof nails. Using the pieces of chip board from the old wardrobe i will make a bench with draws. Getting there now, i dont think ill find the time to do my wheels this week lol.

  8. Yes, European launch probably spring next year, this is a concept though so it probably won't look exactly like that, arches added rather than part of the bodywork, 19" rims with 20" as an option, I like this quote though;

  9. My arches have been cut out and replaced. Inner arch too. £400. They are perfect no rust yet. I even looked inside recently and still good as gold

  14. x2 on the CV joint, full lock it in a car park or open space and if it's that you'll usually hear a clicking as you move forward/backwards! Lock it both ways to check both sides!

  17. Sounds good except for the fact the rears are already too low so if he cuts a coil off the front tyres are going to lose contact with the road, Maybe one off the front.

  18. Even the bubble wrap was entertaining

  19. Yes but it's only the boots, if they've split and caused the cv joint to wear prematurely then you'll have a case, if not then it's like I said, grit that got in when they were split and they won't entertain that.

  24. My older brother came over late afternoon yesterday looking for the sledge hammer, when I asked him why all I got back was "Its for a Peugeot!", to which I replied with "Wouldn't it just be easier to fix it with fire?"

  28. Basically yes. The 98 spec one is s/steel and is reported to give excellent results often much better than aftermarket manifolds. The 96 spec is cast, the same as ours but is also apparently better but nowhere near as sought after or expensive. They both have larger collectors though so you will need a decat or sports cat.

  43. I'm not having a go mate, honestly. Just think it's all a massive con. And I bet that BMW set them back what, £25k plus??The solar panels however, yeah I get that idea and in their case it's a win win for them for sure. Can totally understand their decision. You say the BMW plant is powered by wind, you mean the oxford plant? That's all well n good, but the panel production plant in Swindon isn't lol. And the lorries that drive the parts too n fro ... I'd love to know if BMW and other electric cars makers, have produced a detailed analysis of how much 'bad' energy is used in the production and manufacturing and how long the electric car would have to run compared to an internal combustion engined car to make a difference. Oh and an important part I forgot, what about all the line workers farting all day while working!? I was one of them (in both honda & BMW) that's enough methane to make a rugby pitch size hole in the ozone every shift! Ha
