Umm, well, I have to say it's a slight anti-climax but as long as you can keep your knob warm that's good.

The diesel unit is supposed to be really antiquated and basically just horrible. Not surprising they're rare as a rocking horse turd. -
Oil filter is the same for most of the Honda range so yes that will fit. Have you tried Opie oils?
-
Good news.

Nice poke!
-
Yeah, they're not easy to work with. Looking good though.

Probably, this seems to have usurped that though. -
Don't forget to put your spark plug seals in too, when you swap the covers.

Yep, pop the gasket on the head, wipe sealant around where the gasket fits into the rocker, pop the rocker on and wipe off the excess.

You did, I think it was at the same time as the green one originally. -
That should hit the spot then.

That's a pain, at least I have two sets so it doesn't really matter how long it takes as long as they're on for Japfest. -
x2, great memories, even though mine was an absolute nightmare, I still loved it. After spending a small fortune on it (new track rods, driveshafts, new piston and block honing, new tyres and exhaust) it was stolen. I can't believe they go for up to £6k now, insurance paid out £1800 for mine in 1992.
-
Yes, from cold. It could be a geometry problem, track rods, ball joints etc. but because it's both edges I'd be inclined to think it was tyre pressures. How old are they? If they're getting on a bit it's worth getting new and then having it tracked.
-
That's a tricky one, sometimes they look great, sometimes not so great but if you're not sure then I would look for something else. I think if you're going to shell out £800 on some wheels and tyre they want to be absolutely right for you.
-
Gasket maker? Just slap a new gasket on when you put the fresh rocker on. Are you buying a spare to work with?
-
Over-inflated tyres will wear in the centre as you are reducing the amount the they squash down onto the road. Under-inflated tyres will wear on the outside edges because you are increasing the squash and the load is taken on the outside edges. 33psi should be about right, I keep mine at 32-34.

OEM from John Banks Honda will cost you around £55 for the two so that's a decent saving. -

You're getting on with yours a lot quicker than me, I really should be out there now instead of in here.
