x2, I feel for you though mate, as it seems if you get a good set with no problems then all's fine but if you encounter any problems then their customer service is non-existent. As Krzys said, try a paypal dispute. I'd be interested to see what they would have said if it was within the 30 days, that's the biggest problem is because it's outside of their warranty they don't feel any obligation, but then trading standards would probably argue that it's not as described (being two N/S parts instead of a correct pair)

I'm sure Rich @ Dynodaze has seen improved results on the same car running normal unleaded then vpower. I think the ecu does learn and make changes as you say from the sensors as you go, but as you also said a reset puts it back to factory, it then relearns from the environment what settings it needs. on a mb6 on vpower = 3bhp extra FACT Yeah I'd say that's true too, I think an ECU reset just speeds up/refines the way it sets itself up when you make a change like the fuel octane or extra airflow etc

Sounds good! Look forward to seeing the pics etc! I'm going in June!

I had GCSE's at C and above, I was definately over qualified

I'd go through PayPal then and see what they say, shame really because I got mine from them and had no issues, but yours isn't the only story we've seen about these.

I'd say that covers it in a way my cybergeek can understand

Car of the Month April 2013 Winner Is weetec!!!
Krzys replied to knight's topic in Car of the Month 2013 winners
Voted! Tough decision this one! -
Given the choice I'd have done the same mate!
-
I once worked at a Halfrauds too, never again

The best way to find out is do it on a dyno! Do a run, do the ECU reset and then do another run! Might not create any extra bhp but I think it could affect the throttle response and possibly help with flat spots?

Without wanting this to come across the wrong way but did you not check them when they arrived? I know you'd expect it to be right but it's eBay afterall! Did you pay via PayPal? You could maybe raise a dispute through them? But I do agree they could have tried harder to be more helpful but at the same time you could have put a bit more effort in as well by taking the shock off your car, it's their problem if they want to send the same part back out.

you wish mate! I just called it and got your answer phone x2

How does she sound now?

That's epic! Loving the treatment the BM got
-
That'd be one expensive conversion to make it happen!
-
I think it's been done in an M before, but they are very heavy engines for the power gain, I'm not sure it's any better than a B18 conversion? I imagine there's more info on the likes of Civiclife about the H22 lump!

Paul's MB6 VTi (This Is It! The End Has Come! :( ,,,)
Krzys replied to knight's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
My VTi isn't a minter mate so don't build your hopes up! He's right, I've seen it in person (before he swapped the doors!) and it's a right old shed! Don't kick yourself Paul, she's lovely and getting better all the time! I don't think front door tints look good and in my opinion they harm your line of sight, more so at dusk/night! Rear doors and screen at most, then you can treat it like a van at worst! £160 is still reasonable!- 3,767 replies

I know someone who before it all went online and onto a database, used to print them out and the coppers apparently were none the wiser without a PNC check!

Should I PM you it? Yes....on Facebook!

Or Ant & Dec might jump out and double team you. Or you might have to be blindfolded and guess the fish just by feeling it "This doesn't feel like a fish...." "It's alright, just keep going!"

Paul's MB6 VTi (This Is It! The End Has Come! :( ,,,)
Krzys replied to knight's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
For just the side rears or tailgate? any prices would be good I'd guess at something like the rear doors and screen would be around £150ish at a place like Tint-R?- 3,767 replies

Nice pictures! Did a similar trailor pose with the Saabtanic!

Given the rocky history we've got so far I'm about ready to set fire to it! I don't even want to trace the issue, I can't imagine a misfire would cause 35bhp to just walk out...I could be wrong, but at the minute I'll run it whilst it still starts and when my holiday is out of the way and I'm better off in the bank I'll sack it off!

Why did I have to look at this thread at work, now I have to try to remember to look when I get home
