I would have a diesel jap but none really light my fire. Dont really care what nationality my daily is aslong as it get 45mpg, is reliable and fairly comfortable My bit of weekend fun is my mb, and eventually plan to make it faster For £2000-£2250, a 04 130bhp seat fits the bill, economical, loads of torque and fairly modern No reason why you cant like jap and vag, but I would always say Japanese build a better more reliable, cheaper to run car than the german equivalent. I like any car, italian, german , japanese, french etc as long as it has a bit of character
