Roj's Mean Green No Fire Trucks Given Machineâ„¢ (Rust In Pieces)
Roj replied to Roj's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
I found where the drain plug is in the wheel well of the MB3. Since it was underwater I couldn't pry it open, so I poked it through the hole thinking it'd drop under the car. Noooope. Now my MB3 will just drain itself whenever the wheel well gets flooded. -
Cheers.

Think I'll go mad with bathroom sealant when I get a chance to. -

I came out to my car this morning to find that one of my tyres was flat. Nevermind I thought, I'll put the spare on, drive to the petrol station and put some air back into the flat tyre. Nope. For whatever reason the tyre valve doesn't like the air pump at the petrol station. Time was running out so I limped the car to work with one 16" wheel and one 14" wheel on the front. Interesting handling results to say the least. During lunch time I limped to my local garage and got them to look at my tyre valve. They managed to fill the tyre with air without changing the valve but asked that I don't put the wheel back on and instead see if it loses air during the next few days. If it loses air, it's likely a busted valve. Also whilst getting my spare out I discovered my entire wheel well is a swimming pool and has rusted my wheel brace to crap. Honestly wondering if I should sell up sooner rather than later. -
How do you remove it? I need to refurb mine.

Atta boy, drive it like you stole it.

Likewise. Yeah nearer to the end of the show most of us were sat in our boots to watch the track action. Haha no need to thank me, was all good times. I hadn't slept for 30+ hours but I only felt tired when we were stuck in the car hiding from the rain. I was just being shy for the most past. In the brief moments of sunshine I went and actually checked out the other stands. And yeah rain whilst my tail light was out would've been disastrous anyway.

Mandatory Japfest picture dump time! Images courtesy of @Shafzzz because my phone is busted at the moment. Arriving at Shafzzz's house the day before. Filling up in London. Dem sidelights. Whilst getting my subwoofer fitted in a carpark because it was dark out. Jetwash! Honestly had no idea what I was supposed to do with the soap broom. On stand next to Krzys (forgot to ask you about the drill, d'oh!) and Snakey. Sunday morning photoshoot with Shafzzz before I headed off home.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-Accord-Civic-Hybrid-Type-R-CRV-Tuning-RACING-DOMED-Number-plate-holder-/111340956541?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19ec702b7d Jumping on the plate surround bandwagon, so I'm thinking of getting Design 11, Powered by Honda. Thoughts? I still have the factory Pioneer cassette player at home. Pretty decent for a standard headunit.

I wanted Nokya 2500K bulbs but they're 10x the price. I figured I'd get 3000K eBay bulbs for a fraction of the price and get a similar look.

I bought the MB3 with a binded front caliper. Very interesting braking distances to say the least. Are EBC brake pads any good? Demon Tweeks do them for cheaper than OEM. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EBC-Ultimax-Front-Brake-Pads-For-Honda-Civic-95-01-1998-1-5-MB3-DP815-/310846707526?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item485fe85746 Yeah will do. -

Speaking of mechanically faultless, my front brake pads have started making the "I'm almost worn, hear my battle cry" sound under braking. Also I have next to no braking power from the front brakes until they warm up after a couple of miles of driving. Quite scary in the morning when I'm still semi-tired. Good thing I did my rear brakes a few months ago, they're all I've got keeping me safe. Will pads off a 1.4i or 1.6i fit my 1.5i? I can't spend much so I'm thinking of buying used pads off a breaker. -
x3. It's always great when mum approves of modding.
-
Pat yourself on the back, given the situation you've come off really well. You're still among us and 80% of the MB3's parts can be carried over to your next MB.
-
Absolutely gutted for you mate.
-
MG wheels wont fit the 1.8 Civics. Different PCD.
-
I second this. I really like the wheels, they're 16" right?

Mine wasn't working for the last month or so and then suddenly decided to start working working. Think it just took time for the blockage to get pushed out.

I know this. When I first got it, it wasn't the safest feeling car in the world. Now it's mechanically faultless. Just a shame there's still a lot of bodywork letting it down. Might start fixing it after Japfest2. -

A fair bit better, yes. It does reveal how much better the stock MB6 speakers are though, so those will go in the MB3 too once the MB6 gets upgraded.
