  1. Found some stone-chipping on my grill and rear trim today. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later, so now it's time to wrap them both in carbon wrap! And whilst I'm at it I might as well do the rub strips too! So a question to anyone who's wrapped their M: What size roll should I buy? 4 meters? 5? I want to do the rear bumper (which is the longest piece) in one piece to keep the carbon weave going.
  2. I'll have the rear lip if it earns you a little extra cash to sort out those problems Dave!
  3. If the registration number is still on the car, look it up on the DVLA site and it'll tell you if it's a 180 or not. If not, maybe see if you can find an MG VIN decoder and then decode the VIN on the car? I think they send cars to the recycling centers after a while, to get turned into Coke cans and Civic Tourers.
  4. Shame about the MOT but on the bright side your wife may end up with MG suspension! On the not-so-bright side, your wife is slowly ending up with more mods than you. Good luck!
  5. I have the same problem! One time I left the MB3 in gear whilst parked at the edge of the dock at work. My heart skipped a few beats when I turned the key.
  6. I'll try fitting this one I have already first. No point buying it and not using it. Adam on the FB group.
  7. If bleeding doesn't help it's probably the master. Also now that I don't have to rush to buy a thermostat, do you think I should get this low-temp one from Americaland? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-B16-B18-ENGINE-GATES-RACING-LOW-TEMP-THERMOSTAT-/260711197434?_trksid=p2054897.l4275 I figure I could just buy a new one and get the same garage to fit it, instead of trying to find a garage that'll touch a used part.
  8. Thanks! Yeah the bleeding is why I'd like a garage to do it. Pay a bit more for a proper job. The brakes have always felt a little spongy and it's been getting worse, so with Japfest2 coming up I wanted to get it fixed before I got on track.
  9. The MB6 passed its MOT with no trouble! It got two advisories but they're pretty minor I think. 1 - Offside front floor seat belt anchorage prescribed area corroded but not considered excessive. 2 - Offside rear anti-roll bar linkage has slight play in the ball joint. 1 will just need welding when the time comes and 2 isn't going to matter after I get an MGZS RARB. Also the brake master cylinder has been replaced and woooooow, what a difference! Definitely needed that one doing. The garage didn't want to fit the thermostat I provided because it was a used one so fair enough. I'll find someone who will fit it or I'll tackle it myself. For being a good girl I treated the MB6 to a full set of Team Heko deflectors, plate surrounds and pressed plates. Should be on next week.
  10. I wish. It's just different camera angles.
  11. MB6 collectors are hilariously tiny. You might as well buy a new manifold (doesn't even have to be an expensive one!) and use the adjustable decat on it.
  12. Ah that's what the stereo is for! Just turn it up when you're going slow and turn it down when you're booting it.
  13. I was the same as your wife when I had standard lights with the black mesh grill. Just doesn't look 100% right. Once you change the headlights though, there's no doubts.
  14. She lived a good life at least! Now she'll be recycled and turned into a new Civic Tourer.
  15. How do you think I feel? Ever since I got my air con taken out there's just a massive empty space in front of my manifold where a TD05 can sit.
  16. They refused me because I have no actual credit history to speak of. I'll probably get one of those 0% interest credit cards and buy them with that, but I'm not going to rush into it.
  17. I can get springs fitted by a friend of a friend for cheap. I might spend a little more on quality springs and then I can run them for as long as it takes to save for Meisters.
  18. It just keeps getting crazier. Never seen another car like it though, definitely going to stand out at Japfest2.
  19. Yeah, just a shame the price tag reflects it. I was thinking of getting MG shocks but won't the front end sit higher because the B18 is lighter than the MG's V6?
  20. Just put a deposit down on some blaaaaaaaaack VTiS fanblades! They have no tyres so I'm going to be wrapping them in Uniroyal Rainsport3 tyres in 195/50R15. Problem is my car is going to look stupid with them on because of how high it sits and I cant afford Meisters at the moment. My solution is to just get some quality lowering springs on it and run those for a good while. I want a 40-50mm drop but I also want it to handle like it's on rails. Any suggestions?
