Nope its going in my 78 mg bgt which used to have a v8 4.6 untill i blew it up on track lol n it was going too cost 7 grand to get a new engine as there was nothing salvaegable n it was a wildcat highperformance block wit 285bhp a.r.w n anybody who knows rover v8s knows thats expensive to get there so a cheap jap lump is the way to go lighter n more bang for ya bucks

yep theres a couple of guys in the uk n loads in the states n ive been doing my research n it quite straight forward as its all done with solid mounts which im making n i need a custom shaft which is being done by sailsburyprops when i can afford it n a custom fuse n relay box to link in to the sr20's ecu n bay loom n as it is it will hook up with the rest of the mg fairly easy its gonna take a while coz of money n time

Actually the s13' sr20'scame in two forms a red top which was the basic 1 with a gt25 n the blactop which had a gt25 but better fueling n cooling finns on the head casting n neither of which had vvt. it wasnt until the s14 that it was introduced along with a gt28 turbo n better injectors n i no a common mod is to change the camcover to make it look like a notch top but like i said ive seen the papers n seen it in the flesh n its a real one

nope the 200sx plus its engine has gone to make way for an sr20det plus cash my way n thats going in the mg after a full rebuild n mabe some stronger guts n then a gt30 turbo woohoo which equals big grin n wall aproaching fast now sing it with me "heads,sholders,knees and dead,knees and dead"

Spot the difference this is the regular sr20det n this is the notch top very different

There are 4 different black tops my friend n she is defo from an s14a as it has the doc with it n as said it the notch top black top which only came with either 230 ish or 260 odd in the s15 n as for power loss i doubt it as im rebuilding it so it will be as expected as its not the first engine ive rebuilt so should be fine (i have a degree in mechanical engineering n i used to teach it in a college)

good man if u go classic then it has to be the mgb gt in fact i have a striped down rover 3.5 v8 tucked away in my garage needs a full rebuild plus a couple of bits but its half way lol

When i get the garage sorted this weekend im gonna start a build thread for the mg really need to get this car back on the road as it was so fun then mabe i'll stop ragging the s**te out of the deck (so slow) i'll keep ya posted

thats always the way theres loads i want too do but i have to split my time between 4 cars,house diy n chores n then theres the 60 hours a week at work lol life always gets in the way

Yep but u no how these power mad toyota boys are so hes restoring her n putting a mk4 supra rz 3.0tt lump lol but she is staying standard on the outside. truly an epic car!

Well she is deffo going n in part exchange im getting a new engine for the mg project woop woop sr20det baby from a s14a n its the notch top black top whick means vvti n 230bhp as standard yeehaa n thats before ive done any mods lol im thinking forged with a gt30 turbo n in a 750kg car thats gonna be epic

Well sort of, i did on my tomcat n although they fit they always look flat n dont grip that well due to the extra flex in the wall so i took them off n fitted 195/50 r15 n it was way better so if u want wider tyres i would say fit wider rims

From wat ive heard the 4-2-1 systems are better for ur engine as they give the right amount of back pressure giving a good amount of mid range torque
