Also here's the filter I got, it's an AliExpress HKS replica which is SURPRISINGLY extremely well made, sturdy plastic and metal frame. I bought an original HKS filter element and put that in, ez 120 bucks less for the same filter I love basically. -

didn't know that!! It's my first car so I don't have any prior experience haha -
Not gonna lie, I didn't think it would fit this well! It barely weighs on the vent at all, since it sits precisely on top of the center console ridge, would recommend!

Yeah but at least it's a better layout than the D14a4's vertical throttle body haha! Also yes I'm aware of that, they should be alright for 6000/8000 km but I always look at my engine bay so I would see it if it starts flaking! Need to make the tube a little longer and separate the air from the radiator after this. Sound wise it's already a lot better than stock, especially at 4600 rpm... for some reason it changes engine tone quite noticeably there -
That looks amazing dude! The D16w4 is a solid engine and probably one of the best D series! (At least from what I know)

Just to be sure... No cupholders right? I've had my MB2 for basically 2 years and always had that awful feeling that I've been missing some hidden features or something! Drinks are always a mess to keep straight and it's hard to believe they flat out decided not to put a cupholder in this car haha. Maybe it's just a poverty spec thing and MB6 do have them with the center console?

YEAH I really wouldn't give up AC for ANYTHING lmao, especially here in Italy haha. Though he said it doesn't have it so it's a smart idea I guess! I never considered superchargers on my D14a8 cause I don't wanna make my mileage even worse than it is right now but it's a solid choice if properly tuned :D- 6 comments

Had me really invested while reading, love the wangan midnight reference haha. Sounds like an interesting project, especially with that amazing D16w4 these had, I'm kinda looking forward to swap one of em in my MB2 cause it's a LOT cheaper than a B18, I'm talking like... 2k or more euros cheaper, I could get one for 500 bucks complete. Also... no rear wiper? that takes courage! I find myself using it so frequently even in sunny days

Thanks! I dont have any sideskirts or lips mounted rn as MB2s had none and even used kits are priced like they are made of gold. Like, Im not giving you 500 bucks for your dented old lip lmao -

A reply this detailed deserves to be in the FAQ section of this site! It really seems a more difficult job than a cam swap and a tune haha If I ever manage to stumble upon the main parts for a cheap enough price (Hondas in general were very expensive relative to other cars here in Italy so not many sales...) to justify all the work I'll definitely try. Thanks for all the info!

I remember reading stories online about the issues that come with disc swaps such as needing a whole new trail arm etc etc. I'd love to gather the most info possible on this matter since I'm highly considering it on my MB2 (no ABS). If anyone here knows anything about rear antiroll bars I'd love to know more about that too, I tried to check for em but I'm not sure if it's possible to mount one on stock arms without braces of some kind. Thanks in advance!

Thank you! It's in no way a perfect job, lots of clear coat missing in the lower spots and some paint drips but still decent from afar. -
