vtec2011
Thanks for the comments guys. Luckily it was just me and the car. Has to happen before Japfest huh, but it was my fault... Basically i done a twat move by applying the brakes on a bend in a rainy day on a slippery deep hill (steep fast lane) I braked a bit harder than I should and the back end started kicking out. My automatic reaction was to steer the opposite way to straighten her up, but I can see I was moving fast into the metal barrier... I can see everything happening in slow motion and knew it was going to end in tears... After hitting the barrier, the car spun around 360 degree. After the accident I just sat there wanting to cry but I went to check if everybody else around me was ok. I was amazed I didn't hit anyone on a busy road! A bloke behind me rang the ambulance and the police turned up within seconds. Police took my details and got a recovery truck (only to find out I now have to pay 350 quid for the recovery charges!) I got a mate who is picking up my car with a trailer sometime tomorrow. Get it at the workshop and see if she can be repaired (I doubt it looking at the chassic) If not, I will get another shell. I will keep you lot upto date. Cheers

Roj
Pat yourself on the back, given the situation you've come off really well. You're still among us and 80% of the MB3's parts can be carried over to your next MB.

Krzys
You might get away with it mate, see what's going on underneath! Main thing is that you're okay!
Krzys
Do you think your sleeves had anything to do with the crash? It shouldn't just spin on you like that?I was thinking about this during my walk this morning. My theory is the soft sleeves on the front may have allowed the rear to become too light too quick with the transfer of weight under braking causing the rear brakes to lock sending the car into the slide? The mis-match of suspension certainly wouldn't have helped
skitzma8
What a shame this was the first thread I looked on when I first joined up on civic5! I think the setup you was running defo has something to do with her ending up like this atleast you have more chance fixing her than I did with my MA still miss that car soo much I'm buying another one very soon!
