  1. Haha you'd think that wouldn't you!? I'd be getting stuck in more if I owned a ramp and sheltered space I must admit! New backbox for £25, get in! Should be going on tonight along with the MG ARB as long as my bro's gaff doesn't suddenly fill up with cars, that's happened a few times before!

  18. So managed to stumble across a true bargin the other week. as knight called them Hen's Teeth! Optional Extra OEM Fog Lamps. Saw a add on ebay for a front bumper and in the bumper were the fogs. I dont think the guy knew what they where because once I offered him £30 he had them posted to me straight away. should fit them this weekend along with repairing my rear Tyre thanks to a pot hole, hoping it hasn't damaged my rim and only deflated the tyre. Fingers cross! either way what ever the weather i will upload a couple photos of the car with her new VTIS kit on as i need your amazing opinions and thoughts

  19. The main question is did you do it online or over the phone when you took out the policy, if you did it via a live phone call they have no right and you will be able to appeal, if you did it online it will be put down to a computer error and you have no rights. I asked my boss who has an elite law degree that was his answer.....

  20. I knew you would comment on my thread in no time I am very happy with top end power of my MB3 but I want a bit more bottom end, it seems torqueless before 4000rpm. I didn't know the Z8 and Y8 are the same castings, again I haven't done enough research... On that link, did matey use another ECU or was it just a standard one for the original head? (before the mini-me conversion) Oh and how is your new engine coming along?

  22. I think you definitely need to get trading standards or insurance watchdog involved, either the insurance company or the broker has broken the terms of the contract. In my view that entitles you to a full refund, whether you can is a different matter but it's definitely worth making a lot of noise about it.

  25. I'd say it doesn't count, as it clearly states 7 clear days from when it's delivered to your address, which it hasn't been! Might need to get in touch with trading standards or whatever firm it is that deals with insurance companies?

  27. I just want to tick off everything on my current shopping list for the MB3. Ticked off alloys on New Year's Day so I'm off to a good start! - Front lip - Alloys - Lowering springs - Short ram air filter - Exhaust backbox - Headunit and speaker upgrade - A general tidy up of the exterior Once I get the MB6 in a few months I'll have to add a shopping list for that too.

  28. i've had it for a few months, with it you need to brush it everytime you use it as its real lambs wool, it is massive and holds an unholy amount of water. you need to let them dry properly especially the inside. i normally wash it out under the tap to make sure there is no more soap left in the mitt, wring the mitt dry as much as you can then put a small pole (i use wood) and hang either outside under a shelter or in the garage or shed where it wont matter thats its dripping onto, once left overnight or 2 nights i bring it in and put it on the radiator to finish drying they are expensive but are very good and will last if you treat them right

  32. PASSENGERS SIDE (BIT FIDDLY) Follow the same steps as the drives side as the only real difference here is the fuse box.You have a small fuse box for the abs as i said i deleted mine so just removed that completely and threw it in the bin so im not sure on how to tuck that im affraid im sure you would need to extend the wires off the main fuse box to relocate it behind the wing there will be a guide on the tinterweb somewhere. Right so when youve got thloom lose and ready to.be tucked you need to again push through bulkhead and then out through the door loom again so as i said follow the previous guide. When iside the car remove the fan assembly make it so much easier and gives you a shed loda space. FUSE BOX/ENGINE LOOM TUCK. Right you need to buy som 6gauage power wire for this as you will need to extend the loom from the + on batter to the box. Losen the 3 ¹0mm bolts holding the fuse box in and split the box and you will see 4 plugs disconnect these as tjey need to go through the bulk head.

  33. DRIVERS SIDE TUCK..... On the firewall you will see a rubber grommet that your loom goes through remove this and all the sleeving tjat covers the wires. Also remove all the electrical tape from the wires. Disconnect the two main wiring plugs (by the turret) and the abs plug (ive deleted mine) remove all the wiring from any clips or holders along the wing also undo the earth located behind the headlight 10mm bolt. By now the loom should be fully lose. Push all the loom through the fire wall so it is in the cabin and then slice the door loom grommet and push through (recommend a welding wire tapped to a plug so you can trace them through). Then run the loom along the inside off the wing and cable tie it up but make sure to tape it up. Locate the earth to a clean contact on the wing and poke the light loom under the headlight and hey preston one loom tucked

  34. Right i dont have any pics at the moment but ill type up a how to for the tuck.on here then do a proper one at a later date.. First thing you need to do is remove the battery then front bumper, head lights, wings and the side skirts (we also removed the bonnet but this is personal preference). Inside the car remove the glovebox, air con heater and all othe plastics/fan on the passengers side along with the panel under the steering wheel also the two cornes plastics (one covers the ecu the other the bonnet release) thats pretty much all the parts you need to remove.
