I think I would prefer the kick! The key element is that nudge and note change to let you and those around what's coming!2 points

Morning! Day 7 ( missed 6 d**king about) As you may or may not have noticed the 3 main things that improve a deck have yet to happen, much of it is financial, paying near £700 for lower suspension, £400 for an exhaust system and the other thing, body kit? well they are all seemingly in the pipeline, the suspension alone is worth more than the car if I sold it, to me its worth a lot more as its my daily. Things will be done to get her proper, little tweaks that should bring the engine and the other important parts up to snuff, I think I had the idea that slamming on spoilers and new springs would somehow cure a problem that had nothing to do with the issues that existed. So now I save and tweak and save, going be a long road. Yesterday I was waiting outside the other halves work place, as usual she was running late so I am sat there listening to a bit of Classic FM covered in unspeakable juices, hat in situ and several days fuzz on the chin. A small group of teenagers walked past the Deck Mobile and then looked back, I am Mr Smug, thinking that the de chroming and all the other little things had attracted the kind of attention one seeks when making ones cars look mean and aggressive, one of them started towards the car, giddy with excitement at the proposition of receiving praise for my hard work his knuckle wrapped at the passenger window, gleefully I held down the passenger window switch, blasting the youth with Vivaldi, our eyes met, and he asked one of the most devastating questions I have ever been in receipt of: ' are you Shanes dad?' gutted...........I am in hiding.............2 points

I reckon at Japfest we'll set some sort of record for most Civic M's in one place where the owners (to my knowledge) don't require p1ss bags!2 points

We should rent a civic5 unit. Somewhere in the midlands. Then we can all use it Would be great to have somewhere other than the drive to work.2 points

Love the lights mate. I recently replaced both rear hubs on our eu8 civic because of horrendous bearing noise. Turns out the Avon tyres in good condition on the rear were responsible wasn't happy as forked out on hubs and lost a day at work to fit them. Couldn't believe tyres could make that noise2 points

Nice touches mate, Im glad you did the deflectors as i want to put them on our silver M and i now know i like them a lot and will def be adding these, i saw them on a few other coloured M's and some i liked and some not so..but silver win for me. Re the rims LOL i also thought about the read ring as i have five spoke P/B rims with the red H logo and wanted to know what it would look like on a silver M as i also seen them on other cars and liked it a lot, sorry imo i don't think it works as well on silver so you have helped me discover that i shall not be doing this.. Keep up the good work fella' if you decide the red ring does grow on you and you keep it remember here at Civic5 we think its good to be different and go with what you like...1 point

Which are you talking about the cheapo coilover spring kits or panther lowering springs? The coilover spring sets fit over your original shocks and will put them under strain and at risk of dislocation I believe. I would rather use lowering springs but I'd use ones I'd heard of. Koni strt kits are available for £280 which is a better bet or MGZS 180 shocks can be found for around £80, they won't lower it much but they are a major improvement over standard and if you match them with some lowering springs they are a nice setup if a bit hard. If you buy ibiza coils for an astra they won't fit because they will be a different design and the spring rates will be wrong.1 point

Ah mate gutted! When I was rocking the Saab 95 Aero last year folk kept trying to flag it down as a bus!1 point

That's it, people seem to have a mind set of upgrading parts without first dealing with the maintenance issues, no point in lowering your car say if you have two bold tires, it won't handle any better with the same level of grip, or lack of!1 point

If you win the lottery just get the conversion done to yours and the wenches M!1 point

I want to say it's amazing how much tyres can be responsible for, but if you actually think of it, no matter what we do to our cars, hubs, suspension upgrades etc etc it is ultimately the tyres that affect everything!1 point

I think it's going to be a case of trying to roll the front arches some how :/ as with the inner arch... Well... There isn't much of that left anyway due to scrubbing already! Will get a picture up if the weather is ok today to show how much room I actually have between the arch and tyre on the front. I can't get my little finger or my willy in there.... Safe to say, that's a small gap!! More parts came yesterday Cheers krzys for the edit it's annoying trying to Upload pics now :/1 point
