  1. We had a bank holiday which meant a four day weekend I gave the Civic a bit of a wash and polish on Sunday before a run up the coast on Monday. The Causeway Coastal Route is a really decent road as it hugs the coastline for most of its 60 miles, so it's nice and twisty, but also great views as well. I wish I'd taken pics of the route, but I'd really recommend it for anyone who likes to travel around on driving holidays Jeremy Clarkson roadtested the Twingo 133 on it a few series ago (before driving it in to Belfast Harbour) I also reached a mighty 72,000 miles on the odometer on the way home. My new 18" centre silencer is also due to be fitted tonight. I cannot friggin wait. Hopefully bye bye rasp. Pretty basic clean car pic whoring. I really need to get the good camera out and find a decent local location as well That Top Gear road test on the coastal route for anyone who isn't bored yet by this post lol Only the first 1m 45s is worth watching anyways

  2. Right Krzys! Having read your woes, i am now lending my sympathetic opinion now. I have had exactly the same problems with my car, albeit not with the car itself but all the mods i have done. I have gave examples in my rants in my own build thread and the best advice i can give..... Simple walk away for a short while and get your head straight, then tackle things with a clear head and when theres nothing complicated in your life, at that moment in time. The funeral and all that goes with it will bring you down and your head just aint in it. Stick with your car mate, once everything is done, then its a sorted car for you to enjoy for many years to come. As said previously, its a solid, rust free car...that in itself is worth keeping. Chin up ya big woose!

  7. Was just about to say the same as Jake .. Long old trip and a whole tank of fuel surely? Should be easy enough to do? Nice and accesible being at the front?

  8. Hmmm sounds a long journey. Sure fuel both ways would counteract any saving. Is it n awkward job to do yaself on the mx?

  10. I don't actually know what posessed me to go for them over OEM which would have been cheaper but hey ho here we are! Only done about 700 miles on them and seem to do the job for now! Should be nice after that, good time to go for new fluid too!

  18. Jobs a gooden ya dingle berries! Well so far so good didn't thrash it but it selects all gears with minimal fuss or funny noises. Woop woop!! Please let me advise people gearbox swap on your own on axle stands is hard work. Insanely difficult trying to lift new box in. I'm in pain. Whilst it was on stands fitted the nissin super street pads too. Again not had a chance to really try them but should be better than smelly mintex.

  21. Had a great old day At santa pod. Done some runs on 1/4 mile. What I have learnt is that I can't launch for s**t. Spent the first 60 ft wheel spinning 1st and 2nd every time. I also learnt that my current gearbox wont select 2nd gear past 7500 rpm. Just locks me out. My best run was 14.6 @ 98mph That run was against an fn2 which took off well and got a good lead but after I had finished spinning on the start line managed to catch him and overtook. Which was nice. My friend lent me a go pro too. So will upload some vid when get them off him.
