So not been up to much modding recently, the s2k is having my casual quality service atm including under-seal, full poly bush upgrade, alloy respray, engine bay clean up and lots of other stuff so the poor civic hasn't had much attention over the past few months. But after a weekend of cleaning both cars its now time for the civic to get some more loving so i will start with again with the fun mods. engine mods mostly to start with until then here is a couple pics of my 2 toys Nothing can replace my love for the civic1 point

My nice new drive shaft arrived today 😀 and they actually delivered the right part for once! It is now fitted and I've been out bedding the new clutch in, and the Ej9 gearbox is much better than my original one. And the car seems more nippy so I'm happy with it.1 point

Sounds like most of what you can expect from the standard, boat-like suspension. I'm sure it'll be a lot better once the new stuff is fitted! I would say that's the ABS doing it's thing! Again, the new suspension will go some way into aiding the behaviour under braking.1 point

First kind act and possibly the last we'll see from Adam! Not at all motivated by the hot @1 point

Stolen from H-tune - Lost Motion Assembly is an advance spring device that is designed to put pre-load on the centre portion of the VTEC rocker when it is in the unlocked position (when VTEC mode is disabled). During extended operating conditions, the contaminants in the oil will more than likely cause the piston to seize resulting in the VTEC rocker rattling when VTEC is not engaging or when the vehicle is in idle.1 point

Fresh MOT, engine oil + filter and fuel filter and tyre marks Might I add, what a sod the fuel filter is to change! For those not in the know... That is it, lives in the tank attached to the pump. Also cleaned the interior and fitted the genuine Type R mats, much better in the office now! http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v354/Krzysio/Civic%20Type%20R/162422AB-5704-4889-B89F-3088EA009F8B_zps13myvi3s.mp4 Couple of photos from a drive out Saturday night.1 point

My mate and I spent 8 hours yesterday repairing the car. I had full intentions of doing a 'how to' on this but in reality, I has too busy helping. The pictures I had taken, meant I had to wash my hands every time I needed to take a pic. I wasn't wanting to hold my mate back as we had a time schedule due to being in my workshop. I apologise but I was working that day also and was just wanting home. So no step by step guide on this one Anyway, Pressure plate fingers slightly worn; Note the piece of metal debris above the clutch disc; Worn out spring due to missing metal piece; The strip down; The magnet inside the gearbox shows sign of metal wear; Gold part is the Synchro; Time for a clean; New clutch installed; I also fitted new uprated gear linkage bushes to improve shifts. I will recommend fitting the Mfactory Synchros as the gear shifts are really flawless now. But really only if the gearbox is coming out anyway. Clutch pedal is easier but the biting point is quite high for my liking. I suppose I was used to the pedal being near the floor but this new bite point will take getting used too. Only some actual pedal height adjustments to be made now and I'm happy1 point

Very scientific lol I think I've the Revtecs replacement lined up, but it could be a month or two before I get it. With the weather getting better I ordered a bottle of 50cal Cover Up and figured Pirates Black would be a great colour to test it on. 50cal products are made locally to me and seem to be starting to get a name for themselves. Cover Up is a filler glaze that has been getting some good reviews on some of the UK forums. A local detailer took this 50/50 to give you an idea what it can do. I now see what the fuss is about with it. It's so easy to put on with my DA and just as easy to wipe off again, but it can be applied by hand as well. The biggest advantage is I could get round the car really quickly and still get fantastic results. Unfortunately I started washing the car early afternoon so the light was fading by time I'd finished, so had to settle for some quick phone pics in poor light. Oh and 50cals Berry Bomb air freshener is grrrreat as well. It more than outlasts my Stripper Scent.1 point

Not updated for a while, sorry guys! Anyway, the car wash (I think) blasted off the bumper washer jet covers and I thought it ruined the front end Luckily I had won an MB6 bumper last summer when I was on the hunt for an MB2 for the grand total of 99p! I had completley forgot about it until a few days ago when I pulled it out the garage and had a heart-attack when I found out the fogs were in MINT condition. Literally there isn't a single blemish on them, and it has the washer jet covers Result! So got that fitted and makes the front look nice and new. Also bought a Simota CF Intake which is a copy of the Top Fuel intake and a rubber coin mat thing which is AMAZING. Best purchase so far haha! Meister Zeta's, Cyber LCA's and adjustable camber arms will be here next week and should be fitted next saturday/sunday, followed by geo setup. It's hard to drive the car at high(ish) speed currently because a little bump will knock the steering out of whack and it will squirrel under breaking. Can't fault the Pilot Sport 3s though, absolutely amazing grip from them. I'll get the car washed and put some proper pictures up very soon like I keep promising to ! Cheers, Jano1 point

I have given her a service today including rotor atm and a new distributor cap, I removed the old one to find that it was made in 1996 so it's the original one! Done well to last 18 years! I also changed the spark plugs, put in a new fuel filter as I doubt this was ever changed, I then changed the oil and put on a new oil filter. I've also given the inlet manifold a good clean with carb cleaner.1 point
