  3. Ok update!!! Jacked front up, no bearing play or sound... Box is a bit whirly from underneath but nothing major... One of the front spigot rings had a little split in so took off to investigate, put back on making sure all square and tight etc... Now i cant hear the noise! Will see what happens on my journey home so no parts ordered as of yet! Hopefully i hear nothing on way home and i can focus on finishing bumper and get to cleaning!!

  4. I've re-ordered my stuff to collect from Japfest so hopefully get into the cleaning side! I've never been a participant when it comes to cleaning cars! Mainly because of laziness but I have a new found motivation with the VTi-S but I am starting from scratch so my order is quite large! I do have to thank Nick for helping me get a list together for this!

  9. The thing is, it's probably 2 days work, obviously it would depend on the car condition but from reading it I'd say that is for a rescue of paint that's been treated to way too many £5 car washes and is either full of swirls or sun damaged for example, so it would need examination to make sure there's enough lacquer on there and then a few cutting polish steps with continual examination throughout using pro lighting etc. Basically you'd be paying for his equipment. (oo'er misses).

  10. I think she's close to it mate. God love her she's been a star, even bought me the MB for my birthday last year, as an early present, but she's not into the car scene, and doesnt understand the need to 'personalise' my car, and yet she put up with it for this long. But no more, its time I spent some money on what she wants for a bit. Plus I'd like a garage...

  19. Thanks for the hints and tips chap, awesome. I did warm it up originally but it probably cooled down a fair bit by the second coat. I didn't realize it could make that much difference. Everything else sounds like I was doing it right, distance, heavy coating and nozzle is fan like you say.

  43. Well my lip spoiler is looking better this afternoon, I've offered it up and it looks much more like it, not the greatest finish but we'll see what the polish does. I couldn't really get much done yesterday because this was happening. So got on with some polishing today. So all nicely polished and waxed, she's flipping beautifully now. Lip spoiler drying in the background.
