  10. Fair enough then, personally I'd put it up for more, maybe £1800 or even £2k, it has to be worth a try and it's always better to start high. I think it's worth it, it's a good looking, sorted, well looked after car.

  30. Spoke to someone who runs a garage, he said if the springs come out of the seat but go straight back into place after the wheels have been fully dropped, its fine So far ive ordered a rear wheel bearing as its been noisy for a while and getting new front brake pads hopefully this week. I think i will do a pre mot at the end of the month and she should pass no probs

  32. B*stards. Aww, shucks you guys. Don't worry you'll get there, as you say I've been pampering for a long time and that makes a difference, plus I'm happy to help either of you with some tlc. Alex's is beyond clean like you say, I feel a few others need a mention in the super clean category though, they are; Phill1975, HondaPaul, Grant and Matt Cole (Philthylow?). Phill's engine bay is stunning! It is a great interior, so jealous.

  40. Right guys, this is what I've done to the car so far. Sorry for lack of pictures but it's tanking down with rain and I'm still in bed after nightshift. Hopefully will take another load of pics in the next few weeks including some of the interior. Exterior Rear mid spoiler colour matched to car Repainted front and rear bumpers Repainted complete splitter kit Colour matched all bump strips Replaced headlights Smoothed headlight washer jets Smoked side repeaters Team Heko front and rear wind deflectors (rears not fitted yet) Interior Replaced most of the interior with much cleaner parts from my old car Complete full leather interior swap including door cards Genuine Honda oem dog guard Complete rear window tints Sony head unit Skunk2 gear knob Password JDM gear gator from a DC2 Integra Engine K&N panel filter in standard airbox eBay special 4-1 manifold Custom stainless exhaust with decat Magnecor KV-85 HT leads NGK iridium plugs Hamp oil filter Cusco battery tie (fake) Rocker cover painted wrinkle red (not a type r wannabe just borrowed from my B16b) Chassis Ultralite g-spec wheels 16 x 7 et 40 Nankang NSII Ultra sport tyres D1 Spec internal drive lightweight lug nuts (genuine) MG ZS 180 shocks MG ZS 180 rear ARB Eibach pro kit 30mm lowering springs I think that's pretty much it for now and overall I'm very happy with the car. I was actually quite shocked at how clean it looked when I shined it up for mimms. As for future plans, it needs a full new set of discs and pads at some point this year (any recommendations welcomed), maybe an ITR airbox and filter, respray a dodgy repair on the tailgate and I might drop in a GSR ECU someday. Other than that I'm gonna enjoy it as it is as my daily driver.

  43. She's alive! Done my final check last night. Had to adjust some I the valve clearances. Went to start her and......the battery was dead stuck it on charge over night and fired it in as soon as I got in from work. She started on the button was a bit concerned with the smoke that came out the exhaust but this was obviously just some old oil left in the system. Once the smokescreen had cleared I let her idle and started trying to bleed te cooling system. There's still some air in it as the heater pipe aren't getting warm so I ended up switching it off whilst we get dinner and put my daughter to bed. Will be out again trying to get the system clear, an get the wheels back on. Hoping il be able to get out for a drive round the block to see if it's all ok. Will update later

  44. Wow, thanks for all the comments guys. It's good to know that some my my hard work is appreciated. Anyway here's a bit about the car. I bought it last year to replace my aerodeck VTI that was fairly tired and needed to much work a little too much money spending on it. My thoughts were that the VTI-S is much more rare and has the body kit already fitted so I would be much more inclined to spend a little cash on it. Also the guy that was selling it told me it was in mint condition. I traveled from the north east all the way to Southampton only to find it was far from mint. It had car park dings all over the bodywork and scuffs on every single piece of the splitter kit. The rear bumper was damaged beyond repair and the front one had a few scuffs and scrapes. The headlights were badly faded and the interior was filthy. It was however in good mechanical order and I got it for just over £1000 with the intention of making a good one out of two bad ones. I swapped every piece of interior and trim from my old car and fully cleaned everything else. I swapped all the mods including the wheels over also but the car still looked a bit rough. Anyway I decided that I was going to go the the mimms honda day in it so I thought it best that I tidied it up a bit. I had all of the dings removed and the entire splitter kit, front and rear bumpers, all of the door trims and a mid spoiler that I bought off eBay resprayed. I also had the rear windows tinted and detailed the entire car from top to bottom. As for mods, that will have to wait till next time as I've got loads to do and I'm back to work on night shift again tonight.

  45. I've re-ordered my stuff to collect from Japfest so hopefully get into the cleaning side! I've never been a participant when it comes to cleaning cars! Mainly because of laziness but I have a new found motivation with the VTi-S but I am starting from scratch so my order is quite large! I do have to thank Nick for helping me get a list together for this!
